Fantastic day!!!
My port is in....no problems and I feel just great. Now the "REALLY" good news...My youngest son called about 5 minutes before surgery this morning. Guess what?...I'm going to be a grandma!!! Him and his wife have been trying for the last 8 years to have a baby. He has had a really hard time dealing with me having cancer, but I think all of that is about to change. God is good folks....God is good! Anyways...I'm ready to fight this battle and get myself into remission...I got a grandbaby coming in May and I need to be ready to babysit..."YES"!!! I'll let you know how tomorrow goes. Got family coming tonight to celebrate the baby news.
Love to you all....Sue

Hi,
Glad your day was fantastic!! Boy, I hated that port, it hurt so much and I still don't like it. Some seem to have an easy time and others not. Good news, it's done and you're on your way to getting well and being a GRANDMA. Wonderful news, by the time that baby gets here you will be in remission.
Good luck tomorrow.

Hi ladies,
I am pleasantly surprised that the port is presenting no problems. It's been in since 11:00 this morning and so far so good. No swelling or discomfort as of yet. The tape is kind of stretching the skin down from below my neck, but as soon as they remove it in the morning to put the chemo in I'm sure it will feel just fine. Hubby has a huge grin on his face and I'm still high on the baby news....sure feels good to be happy again!
Love you...gramma Sue...ha!
P.S. I have 2 grandchildren from my oldest son..ages 18 and 20, so having a "baby" around again is going to be soooooo much fun! Remission....here I come!!!!0 -

Hey Sue it is so natural to be nervous, but remember to just take it easy, don't over do anything, it's said a million times on this forum, but listen to your body!!!!!! You will get thru this before you know it!!!!! Take care Vinny0 -
Congratulations
So happy to hear that the port is in and not causing any problems. And the new baby, well that is just wonderful. Sorry this is a little late to wish you well with the chemo today. I worked a late shift yesterday so wasn't around for all this great news 'til now. Thinking of you. Mary0
