I participated in a cool event this morning. Bill and I took our oldest grandson, Owen, with us to participate in a Bark For Life. This is a fundraising event also put on my Relay For Life. People can bring their dogs and walk with them. There were games, and the dogs walked the tracks, and we made a little extra money for the cause. Owen, Bill and I were walking in memory of Owen's dog, Maddie, who passed away from cancer in 2006. I was surprised at how teary I got when we were doing the first lap, and people were expressing sympathy about Maddie.

Too cool - hope you remembered Sundance, LOL:)
Lost him in Aug2008 to cancer as well...
In loving memory of Maddie and all our dogs - they sure don't deserve cancer.

You're right. They don't deserve it! They can't understand what's going on with their bodies. I take care of the grandchildren, you know, so I was at their house with Maddie every day during her time of illness, and it was so sad.
Rest in peace, Maddie and Sundance.
