Thank you ladies, you brought tears to my eyes (in a good way)
how wonderful it is to know that you care about me! the petscan went okay - i got panicky about halfway through it - i am very claustrophobic but didn't have trouble with the first two petscans. i did start to cry - anxiety really got to me, i remained calm so they could finish the scan and when they came to set me free were surprised to see how messed up i was. fortunately, i was able to finish the scan without letting them know i was upset (i knew i would just have to do it again as soon as i was finished, i drove two and a half hours to see my mom - i just needed to see her - and all through chemo i was unable to make the 3 hour drive from home. because i was with her for the weekend, i didn't have access to a computer until today!! what a lovely surprise to see all your good wishes
i have not gotten any results, i think they are waiting until i have the breast mri on the 1st; my appointment with the surgeon is on the 2nd. his nurse is trying to get an appointment scheduled with the plastic surgeon this week - so they want to get moving asap.
i will let you know when things are scheduled, and thanks again for caring!0 -

Thank you for posting and letting us know how things went for you on Friday. Just seeing a photo of a PET machine (or whatever it is called) has made me cry (not in a good way!) I've had mild anti-anxiety meds beforehand, too, so pat yourself on the back for soldiering through the scan. I hope you and your mom had a wonderful visit.
Take care and keep in touch. Wishing you only good tears!0 -
