If my memory is correct?
John,
If my memory serves me correct and not searching through many old posts. I seem to remember her posting on another board that she had the operation that she was afriad of, and it came back clean. No Cancer and she was at home healing up. She thanked everyone for their support and help. Basically said that she was going to move on with her life and may check back in now and again.
Hopefully, she is busy doing something that she enjoys at the present time.0 -

MarineE5 is right on target.
If memory serves, she did stop by not so long ago and she seemed to be doing well.

I just happened upon one of her posts when she was nervous, but hadn't seen anything for a few months....0 -

She was sort of misdiagnosed and the growth(s) were benign.
Lucky girl. We need of those kind of stories.

hello
This is Mary, thankyou for thinking of me. I come here and read all your posts every so often. I look to see how everybody is doing. You were all such a great help for me.
As most of you know... I had the lump in the back of my neck. Had a fine needle aspiration that showed cancer! I had cat scan and PET scan, only showing the lump. I had a modified left neck disection on March 29th. I did not have cancer! The lump was a pilomatrixoma, is usually found in children, rarely in adults. On a fine needle aspiration it can show a false positive for cancer. I am still having problems with my neck disection but thats ok. Learning to live with the sensations it brings. My neck is tight, and numb in places. My scar is healing.
I was on state disability for a few months. Lost part of my hours due to having surgery. I am a home health nurse and one of the moms didnt want a nurse that had neck surgery. But thats ok. So now I am on partial unemployment.
When I do too much at work, my neck will feel like there is a giant clamp on it. Does anybody else feel this? I do stretching exercises every day.
Thankyou to all of you that helped me get through those weeks I waited to have my surgery!

from you Mary. Remember you well, and how happy we all were when you got the final diagnosis. Great that you are back in the Nurse's saddle again, helping people. And I hope you will continue to make posts to let us know how things are going.
