I am sorry to hear this has happened,
Were you taking any of those drugs like Tamoxifen? And it still came back, how does this happen? Anyway I hope all goes well for you. I would want my breast off too if it were me.0 -

so sorry you have the need to go through this again. It's probably best in the long run. My thoughts are why take chances. I had ILC in rt bst and LCIS in lft bst and opted for bilateral mastectomy. At home I go braless but I just purchased prostheses and bras for when I go out. It makes me feel a bit more like my old self. I don't plan on any reconstruction at this time. Best of luck to you with the mastectomy and let us know how you're doing. {{hugs}}

My thoughts & prayers are
My thoughts & prayers are with you . . . I had a mastectomy in Feb when both my surgeon & radiation onc thought I was a "good candidate" for a lumpectomy - I have never regretted my decision - I would rather do that and feel like I have a better chance of not seeing the cancer return.
with prayers,

I am glad that you posted. I wanted to respond to your previous post about plastic surgeon. Please seek a second opinion, I am sure that you can find a specialist who will do reconstruction the way are are right now without any conditions. Talk to your doctor about recommendations for reconstruction. Praying that you test will come out negative without problems. Good luck tomorrow,
