I Did Something Today I Haven't Been Able to Do in 8 Months!!!
I got on my favorite cardio machine--the elliptical. After 10 minutes, I thought, "Oh, no--I'm not gonna make this" But then, something kicked in (adrenaline, energy or just plain stubbornness!) and I was able to go for 35 minutes, 2 1/2 miles! I did some sit-ups, arm work on the mat.
I still have a ways to go to build back up to what I had been doing, but--not bad and I really feel so happy today.
Thanks for listening.
Hugs, Renee

Awesome!!!
That's great news, Renee.
And working out will no doubt help you recover more quickly. I hear it's a good remedy for depression as well.
That is one area that I've been remiss in. I know I should take better care of my body, I know how to do it, I just lack the motivation to actually ensure that I do it every day, or at least every other day...
You are inspiring me to try once again to get back on that horse!0 -

Miss Rene .. What . What.. What ... U ROCK ...cahjah75 said:You go girl!
That's awesome Renee that you could withstand 35 min on the elliptical machine. That's quite a workout for just going back. I ride a recumbent bike and some days my legs just don't want to move. Keep up the good work but don't push it!

I so enjoyed this news ... this helps though of us (like myself) to dream and hope!

That is so awsome Renee...you rock...and you'll have a rock body to match!
Good for you. I started in again after my radiation treatments were done. Before that I stuck to walking. I read in the book "Anti Cancer" that 30 mins of walking at a moderate speed is enough to have a beneficial effect for breast cancer survivors. So ladies, if the eliptical isn't your thing try walking 30 mins. at least 3 times a week and reap the reward.

Oh boy!
That's great Renee. Kind of felt like "yourself" again? Yay!!!!! I was so excited when my Onc gave me the thumbs up to go back to my gym. My first spin class was pretty tough. But I grinned like an idiot!!!! I walked up to my sweet instructor after class and gave her the abbreviated story of "me". She started to tear up- her Momma was diagnosed with BC about the same time as I was. She's doing well also-by the way. Just goes to show how many of us are out swinging away at this #$%* Beast!!!! Grrrrrrr! Let's feel that burn!!! xoxoxo0 -
