PCa Awareness Month, Conference & Events Sept. 2010
September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. For anyone interested, US TOO has a September calendar of events posted on their site: http://www.ustoo.org/Event_Calendar.asp One September event is the annual PCa Conference put on by the Prostate Cancer Research Institute (PCRI), which also has a good educational website. The 2010 PCa Conference is Sept 11-12 in Los Angeles, CA. A partial list of scheduled conference speakers includes: Stephen Strum, MD; Charles "Snuffy" Meyers, MD; John Mulhall, MD; Dean Ornish, MD, etc. More info is available at the PCRI website http://www.prostate-cancer.org/pcricms/node/377

Good info for those living in and around the LA area. I would definitely be interested in attending if only I lived a little closer to LA. By the way, how is MRPJD doing. Hope all is well and everything is going according to plan. Best wishes on a successful treatment. DAN0 -

Hi Dan,
Yes, the L.A. Conf is supposed to be a good one. The Us Too website (good educational site) lists PCa events nationwide, both charitable and informative, and uses next month--September, especially, as an opportunity to bring attention to the need to raise funds for PCa research (by listing fund raising events) as well as events that educate and call attention to this beastly disease.0
