I will find the post on folfox and bring it up..I did it as well,it kicked my butt also...as for blood, I think I would insist on a colonoscopy asap that will alleviate any undue stress you are having due to the unknown......... Buzz

    Keep asking your doc questions
But skin discolorations go with the territory. The brown streak on top of my big toe is only starting to fade now, tho all other skin returned to normal (2 years post-chemo).

    ANC is Absolute Neutrophil Count
Neutrophils are one of several types of white blood cells. They're the most important/most numerous type. Absolute Count is an actual count of the cells per some unit of blood. Neutrophils are also measured and reported as a % of total white blood cells.

I also had a week where ANC & WBC were too low to risk chemotherapy. The oncologist then started me on Neulasta, which is an injection I get the day after chemo ends. (I get it over 3 days, every other week). The Neulasta, as I understand it, gooses your bone marrow to produce white blood cells. It sure has worked for me, in that my blood counts are high when it's time for a new treatment.

    deep breath
the lines in the palms of my hands are still a bit brown colored and I am a year off of chemo. I could see it getting darker each time they started the oxy. My hair thinned, but not enough for others to notice. The cold thing was awful, but didn't really last too long, and I learned quickly what i could touch and not touch etc. I actually considered myself lucky going through it in the winter while it was cold, at least I was drinking tea and hot chocolate - couldn't imagine it during the summer. But, like everyone says, keep notes and let the doctor know each and every thing that goes on, as they can adjust the meds if anything gets out of hand. take care.

    oxy!
Different effects in every one! ln my case ; big loose of hair not only thinning (lost the 50% or so),huge neuropathy, (still there after 1 year off),big toxicity to the liver , but no problems with spots or skin ( even going to the beach with no umbrella) cold drinks ,specially any fizzy drink, disgusting!
    Hope it helps!
