Oh thank Godlinpsu said:eyebrows
I finished chemo (4 A/C; 4 Taxol) on July 9; eyebrows and eyelashes have started to come back this past week or so, so hopefully they'll be back completely within a few weeks.
Good luck - they'll come!

lashes are not as thick -- prior to losing them due to chemo. I have hope that in time, they will return to their original state of color and luster.
Ok .. I can dream.

excuse me I have to go wax!!! They seem to come back rather quickly, too! Eyelashes took quite a while for me, though.0 -
Yup!
Yup! They will!
My last treatment was April 15, and just this past week I've decided my eyebrows look "normal" again. Not quite what they were, but better actually because they just look like I had a good eyebrow wax job, haha
And all my leg hair came back, whoopee, I'm soooo excited about that. *But*, my armpit hair is nowhere to be found. Haha!! Dear cancer, neener neener neeeeeener. sincerely, Smoooooooth

Yes, they come back! I know we're all different, but mine actually came in thicker than before. But...remember that means everywhere: eyebrows, eyelashes, head, arms, legs, nose, etc. Need I say more?! Good luck with yours! MM0 -

it seems mine really thinned out past the brow towards the temple...it's like they just decided to stop there, thank goodness for brow pencil, I wouldn't leave home without it!!
As for my eye lashes, for me, they didn't come back nearly as much as the way they looked in my pre-chemo days, but hey, at least I have something
Marsha, consider yourself quite LUCKY!!!0 -
YES!
They will come back! It just takes time. They may come back not as thick though. My eyelashes came back like they were pre-chemo and my eyebrows came back too, but were a little thin in spots, but no one but me noticed. I just use a little brown eye pencil to fill them in.
Be patient. I know it's hard, but they WILL grow back!
Blessings,

Everybody was Kung Fu fighting!
Sorry, I was imagining pink ninjas for just a moment there...
I kept my eyebrows, and consequently for me some facial expression, all through chemotherapy. It wasn't until after chemotherapy that the @#$%! abandoned me. I kept my unruly 'grandpa' eyebrows though, but the rest seem to be returning now...about 10 days after I noticed their departure.
Looks like I will be shaping these suckers soon enough.0 -

Yes, they will come back. Mine came back very thick so i had to have them waxed! I am losing them again, oh well.0 -
When was your last chemo?
My last chemo was Dec. 29, 2010. I still only have about 30 hairs in each eyebrow. My eyelashes aren't as thick or long as before, but I do at least have some. My hair is very dense and there's a "male pattern baldness" thing going on, too. I don't mean to be a spoil sport, but I would like to have known of someone else in my shoes a little earlier. I hope you're worrying for nothing and everything comes back better than before. By the way, you probably don't look as freaky as you think.

Trust me when I say.....
no one even notices the missing eye brows. I was lucky and mine just thinned out but
my friend had lost hers and two hours into our coffee conversation if she hadn't mentioned
it, I wouldn't have noticed it at all!!! Seriously, I would NOT have!!
I know how you feel. I thought the same and that's why I really loved all the Lady Gaga
songs and her theme of monsters. It put a positive spin on it for me, monsters can be
very sexy!!!

But, my eyebrows are back and even better, my eyelashes are back and thicker than before! Unfortunately, the rest of the body hair has come back in full force--except for my affected underarm--smooth as a baby's skin and no need for deodorant there. I guess we really zapped those sweat glands as well.
Have faith--it's very temporary, but I bet you still look like a fox!
Hugs, Renee0 -
Yes they will
Mine thinned out considerably but came back full force after chemo. Just had them waxed on Saturday! My eyelashes, however, took alot longer to get back to their full length and force. I was beginning to think they would never recover, but then they suddenly did. Hope you see those brows appear soon!

They should
They should and if they don't, please have your doctor check your thyroid. My hair is back (in a real style) my lashes are back, the one hair on my chin is even back, but eyebrows remain sparse due to my thyroid.
Hang in there

I promise your eyebrows will
I promise your eyebrows will come back and rather quickly. I, weirdly, also lost my eyelashes at the same time. They too returned, only to leave me a second time. They did grow back, almost immediately, and are thicker, longer, and curlier than ever! Good luck! Pitt0
