First scan today..Update
I'm having my first post surgery scan today. Please wish me well. Cross all those fingers & toes
My Dad passed away Sunday and they are giving my Mom only a few weeks to live. This year has been a nightmare!! Oh, and KiKi with a learners permit and NO insurance backed into my car last night at CVS.Things could be worse though, and I am very much aware of that.
Other than this, all is well with me and I hope you all are feeling well this lovely morning.

UPDATE...
Well, it really started out rocky. I got to the imaging clinic at St.Vincent's and they didn't seem to be aware that I had an appointment for a scan. After I showed the lady my appointment card she shuffled thru a big stack of papers and found the scan order. Ok...to the waiting room and 45 mins later I was called back. The tech told me I needed to drink 6 paper cups of barium crap and wait another hour. I guess I am stressed to the nth degree because I flew off the handle. You see, I was told that I was having a scan with contrast...no mention of barium and waiting hours.Have had scans with contrast before so kind of knew the time element involved. I had an appointment at the funeral home to finish up Dad's burial business and well of course I can't can't drink barium and wait another hour and be at a funeral home at the same time...can I?
I'll bet everybody has the barium, huh? But I didn't know that and I would *think* this being my first cancer scan someone would have told me?? Just venting....I guess I need to take the Atavan 4 times a day as directed for awhile.
On the funny side...when I finally got to the funeral home my stomach started doing the boogy-woogy and making horrendous noises. Anyone ever done a thread on barium farts?

My heart goes out to you on the loss of your dad and your Mom's illness, while battling yourself. You are a strong individual.
All the best for a clear scan

I hold you in my thoughts today that all gets a little easier for you...Love ya, Clift0 -
Wow
So very sorry about your dad passing and now your mother close. How your heart must be so heavy. Sending you good thoughts and even my hair and eyes are crossed that all goes well. Always hated trying to teach my kids to drive. Golly if that doesn't give you gray hair, don't know what does

Has anyone done a thread on barium farts? I'm pretty sure not. You could be the first.
Funerals can be fun. When my father died, after my mother and I had put in our obligatory appearances at the funeral home, an old neighbor and longtime friend rescued us and brought us to her home to drink the afternoon away and reminisce about him. Turned it into more of a wake than a funeral.
