Had my scan on Monday and just heard today ALL CLEAR. I am officially NED and I have all of you on the board to thank for the support and info I have received since Oct. Dr. has given me the OK to have my port removed so will consult with the surgeon tomorrow. My husband and I will take a cruise to Nova Scotia in Sept. to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and my good health. God has been good to me. You guys too.
However, what should have been a celebratory day was also a very sad day for me. I had to put my dog down. He had been sick for a couple of months and I just couldn't make him suffer any longer. It was such a tough decision to make especially since he helped me through my bad chemo days. He should be celebrating with me instead of.......I can only hope that he's running around in heaven and has a new strong body.
Love to all,
Laureen

good news/bad news
So glad you are dancing with NED and am certain your dog is celebrating with you! I've had to put a few pets down; it's never easy. Our pets love us so unconditionally, they depend on us to make the hard decisions, which you have. Enjoy Nova Scotia!

Tough day
What a tough day - good cause to celebrate, but so hard under the circumstances. It is wonderful that your dog was around to help you through chemo. He hung on through the most important times for you, and now it is his turn to move on to a new phase.
I'm glad to hear you are NED! I hope you feel better emotionally soon so you can celebrate that.0
