The Prayer

Thank you all for keeping this forum active. I do wish it was available during my time. I had spent hours in the library, but found the bookstore had more recent publications. There are more individuals posting so I consider this the best forum for cancer survivors.

I do not contribute as often since there are newer terminology and my memory is starting to fade. I am probably the oldest on this board and happy to have made a few friends.

I have noticed that a few have stepped up and are really active on this board. For some, their interest fades, but there are others who replace them. Yet, the old timers are still around and periodically post recommendations.

The real life experiences are at times, more valuable than the opinions of the physicians. Please do not mis-interpret the comment. I am not questioning their professional competence. Some times, they can only give an opinion.

Since I have not contributed as often and if you have time, log on and listen to the duet of Celine Dion and Josh Groban. This is their rendition of "The Prayer". It may lift up your spirit.

    Hello Hawvet, thank you for your insight, your information, and the prayer. We do all want to be safe don't we. You're right about the recipe for this board, it's continually being vitalized by grateful people who've benefitted from the support and experience found here, and maintained by long-term survivors who are gracious enough to offer their extended participation and wisdom.

    Love this song. I sang The Prayer and You Raise Me Up when I was singing second soprano with an 86 member chorus. Gave me goosebumps everytime. When I sang I had to not focus on the lyrics because I would choke up and cry.

    You may not contribute as much as you think but just your being here now and then and sharing your life story with us is a big part of the CSN family plan.

    God be with you my friend and brother and may the God we truth and believe be our eyes and ears till we are all in His home in paradise, with no pain, no suffering, no loneness and no Cancer.

    How is your husband?
    Kimmy, what's going on with your husband? My husband took his last chemo yesterday and finishes radiation on 27 August. The wait for PET scan in October sounds so long to me.
