We don't consider it "stuck"
We are very happy to have you!
I'm glad to hear your CEA is good. Now we just want to hear good news from the MRI also.
When I divorced my ex, one thing I said at the time is that if I ever got cancer or some serious health problem, I would be so much better off alone than with him. I didn't really think I'd get cancer or a serious problem. And then - surprise - I ended up with cervical cancer immediately, and now that I am remarried, colon cancer. My husband now has had his own way of dealing with this - not all positive. But I am lucky not to be dealing with the a$$ I was married to for 17 years (and had 4 children with). It might be very hard to see now, while you are going through all of this, but I bet you'll look back and realize it too. You are better off without someone so selfish in your life.
Hugs! I hope your day gets better.0 -
Don't
Don't apologize to us,you don't have anything to apologize for.We are here to listen, help in any way we can.Don't worry about the husband,he wasn't near good enough for you, your better off without him.Glad about your CEA,and hoping your MRI results are good also.Hoping you get nothing but good news.0 -
Sonia Dear Sonia:
I think you need a big hug right about now and judging from the comments already made, I hope you are feeling that hug through cyberspace. Well, nothing you can do about the husband, some caregivers are just lousy. Take a different spin on it, if it wasn't cancer but another catastrophe in life, would he have stuck around? Some people unless their lives go on down easy street just can't cope and unfortunately, you found one of those people. Story time. My sister had a friend and they were happy as could be until the baby was born less than perfect. Right there in the hospital he told her, me or the baby and he was very serious. Her answer after a few days was see ya in divorce court. Yes he did his duty to save face paying child support, some alimony and providing health insurance but he never had any contact with his son. Some people just want a perfect world and the world is not always like that. It did give her some pleasure that her hubby's parents turned their back on their son and embraced their grandson.
Now you got a CEA under 3 so go and celebrate that, pick up the pieces of your life, laugh, smile and enjoy all that you have coming to you.
Hugs - Tina0 -
We love you Sonia
We are here for you through cyberspace. This has to be tough day, but you will get through it + you will be stronger than ever. That is such great news about your CEA! I hope you can feel how much we care about you + hope things are getting better for you.0 -
Hang in there
I can relate on a smaller scale about losing somone you thought was a loved one. I had two very good friends (at least I thought they were) who just walked away. They don't know each other and both hung around until after my surgery, but now that I am 'damaged goods' they decided to move on. But you know what, that is life and I won't let their ignorance get me down. I got a lot of livin to do yet!
Here is hoping that your MRI is as good as the cea results.
We have to move on from those who want to bring us down and move closer to those who want to help us be strong, like the folks here.

Vent away
I'm glad that we are here for you. Wrapping my arms around you in a cyber hug.
Praying for your great MRI results to get back soon to you, then you can proceed to the happy dance.0 -
Hey
I am sorry about the sad anniversary, but best to get rid of the people in your life that can't deal with all the colors that you are. I hope you can get through today ok and look forward to getting those great scan results that will help ease your mind.0 -
Sonia
ditto on the dud husband. Apparently, he hasn't developed that part of himself to be able to give and love in that capacity. Some people never do. But that's not your problem--it's his.
And I'm so glad that you have family, friends, and us to lean on.
Holding you in the Light for good MRI results.
hugs to you...

Hey, Sonia!
Hey, Sonia!
Just got back from my vacation & read your post (I didn't check the board, emails, or Facebook at all while I was gone). I can only imagine how tough it must be to have it be the anniversary of what would have been your 3rd anniversary. I'm praying- the depression beast cannot beat you down, girl!
I'm really glad to hear your CEA is normal- that's very good news! I bet that MRI will be too.
Talk to you soon-

So sorry that you are going thru this depression. You know that you have ((hugs)) from this, your cyber family, who want nothing but the best for you. Keep your chin up girl, I know that sometimes it's really tough, and you've had the roughest thrown at you, hon.

Hey girl...
I've been on a little break too to the summer house for a few days. No internet there. Just got home last night and seen this.
Sonia, to some degree, we here are all family. I'm so sorry that your ex-husband did this to you. I hope you realize he was the weak one, not you. You did nothing to deserve this. The "C" word is non-discriminatory. You did nothing to cause this.
We've all decided we're not "stuck" with you, but maybe it's our pleasure that you're here. We love you and you posts!!
So glad to hear about our CEA. Your MRI will be uneventful as well.
Hugs back to you, girl!! Love ya!0 -
Hang in there!
Sonia,
You are better off without him and someday he will regret what he has done. As for you, you will move on and find happiness. I truly believe there is a reason for all things that happen and it some times takes a little while to understand them. There is someone much better for you out there.
Big hugs to you,
