Wow! 20 wings. How long did it take him to eat that many. I can eat meat; but it takes so long and it gets frustrating.

Thanks for the fun topic. I am typing this while on vacation looking out across the St. Lawrence River.
Though I live a mere hour and a half from Buffalo, I am a Philadelphia Eagles fan. I've been a fan since I was 10 years old. It was Super Bowl 15, Oakland vs Philly and I had to pick a team to root for and I decided that I'd root for the Eagles since I loved birds and the color green. I've been a die hard fan ever since.0 -

We don not have any professional team in the area, but I was a Pittsburgh fan when I was stationed there in the early 70’s. Here is a true story. My son’s favorite is the Rams. A few years back, I was heading for Las Vegas. His favorite team, the RAMS were at 200-1 to win the superbowl and he gave me 10 dollars to place a bet. This is an extremely long shot.
It was early in the season and the odds had dropped to 130-1. I placed his bet and decided to make a 10 dollar bet for myself. Surprisingly, the RAMS were in the superbowl. A friend was going to Vegas that weekend. I decided to make a hedge or counter bet of 500 dollars for the opposing team to win. I figured it was a win win situation. If the RAMS lost, I would lose that 10 dollar superbowl bet and win that 500 dollars bet. If the RAMS won, I would win 1300 dollars minus the 500 dollar bet for a gain of 800 dollars. This type of situation rarely occurs.
That game probably turned out to be the most exciting finish throughout my years of watching the superbowl game. Tennessee had the ball and was driving towards the goal line. They ended on the one yard line preserving my bets. This is besides that run by Franco Harris when I was at Pittsburgh.
The RAMS won by 7 points so my 10 dollar bet gave me a win of 1300 dollars plus my original 10 dollar bet. My son won a like amount. The point spread was RAMS at -7 so I was even on the 500 dollar bet and got my money back.
My apologies for this long story on this cancer forum. The men would probably be more interested in this tale. May be some ladies too. Sometimes, it is good to break away from the routine and talk about something else besides our battle with “C”.
From that year forward (2001) and since we do not have a professional football team close by, I having been betting the long shots and a few with 20-1 odds to win the superbowl. Then, I root for those teams to win.0 -

Being from Chicago, naturally I am a Bears fan and my college team is Notre Dame. Cheers

University of Illinois - all the way.
The U of I never did anything for me. I graduated from Southern Ill U, though I did date a girl that went to the U of I. Notre Dame has always been the one. It kind of runs in the family. Cheers

Rams, Niners, Texans
I am an Rams fan by birth (Los Angeles) and a 49 fan by location (and I like their head coach Mike Singletary). But lately I am drawn to the Texans. Their style of play is always exciting with the Shaub to Johnson hookup always lurking.
Best,

All about the "Boys"
Doesn't appear they "Boys" have a lot of fans but here goes....
Mike (my partner w/Stage IVA tonsil cancer): DALLAS COWBOYS all the way. Just in case you were wondering, he's a YANKEE fan too (he grew up on Long Island). He doesn't follow the NY football teams because JETS/GIANTS aren't true NY teams since they play in the Meadowlands (NJ) so the only real NY team is the BILLS and he was never a fan. LOL
Me on the other hand, the COLTS and of course I'm bias for the hometown team, the RAVENS.
College FB teams: Nebraska, Tennessee and of course Maryland (go TERPS)
Should be a great season.
