I lost my beloved husband Hank on 7/17. It is the hardest thing I have ever had to do, I will miss him forever. I know how you are feeling and how difficult it is to move on.

I have not seen a post from Hatshepsut... did she post here and I just missed it or were you talking to her in a PM?
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of her husband and I too miss seeing her posts on this forum. Hatshesput, if you are reading but not responding on the board (totally totally understandable), know that your presence is missed here and that you are a big part of the word "support" on this board. You gave such wonderful advice and information and when things got a little "heated", you were always there with your cool wisdom and calmed things down. I don't know if you realize just what a big part you played on this support board and whenever you feel you could use the support now for yourself, please, please come back here!
It is going to take some time for your world to get righted again. You and your husband had a long history together and to go forward is going to seem like a huge, impossible feat. But one day at a time and if need be, one hour at a time. We are here for you if you just need somewhere to vent or talk!

So sorry for your lose, I can only imagine your anguish. When I first came here it was your posts I looked for, as you always posted such intelligent and caring information. May you find happiness in all the years you two shared, and that those memories provide you with warmth and peace throughout your days.

Our sincerest condolences...
on the loss of your sweet husband. You two experienced a great life together and I hope you remember all the memories of all you shared to keep you warm. Sometimes it's hard to see over that hurt. Leo Buscaglia once said, "I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love."
God Bless you, Hatsheput, with much love

Sincere Condolences
Hatshepsut,
My sincere condolences on the loss of your husband. I can't imagine how incredibly difficult the past few months have been for you. It was so obvious from your posts that your love and affection for your husband were deep and constant and never-ending. I wish for you peace. I also hope that you are able to sit back and smile as you reflect upon the wonderful experiences and life that the two of you shared.

The importance of community...
First, to Anne: Thank you for your kindness in posting this thread.
Thank you, too, to those of you who have reached out of me and have posted words of condolence and comfort on this thread and on luvinlife2’s “End of Life” issues thread.
Some time ago, I remember posting that I “needed” this board. Over the last four years, the CSN Board has been an important source of critical information in my husband’s struggle to find treatments and strategies to treat his cancer and in my own struggle to support him and calm my own fears. Many of you gave unstintingly of your time and expertise to make our way easier and, for that, I am forever grateful.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this community.

@Hatshepsut: I am very sorry for your loss....you know...if you look up on the sky, start searching for the brightest star...that's him. (my Mom told me this when I was little and I lost my dad and my brother). All the people who leave become a beautiful star! They are all up there...lighting up the sky in the dark times. Go, find him! I found my mom!:) I watched my family yesterday night for an hour...they're always with me!
