One year tomorrow
FEELING GREAT and full of energy! I do have some fingertip neuropathy and my feet are still pretty much the same but I don't even notice it except when I first walk barefoot.
God has healed me of Stage III colon cancer! I give HIM all honor, glory and praises!
Just wanted to share some happy thoughts today.
For those who pray, please pray for my husband (of 40 years on 10/10). He's been bleeding during the night and passing blood when he urinates. He's had bladder problems for 30 years and has gotten a referral for a urologist. Jim has to catherize himself to be able to urinate so it might just be something to do with 20 plus years of THAT, but we would appreciate prayers.

Congrats to You!!!!!
I am so happy to hear your great news!!!! I will be praying for your husband and for his healing as well. Thanks for sharing your news...it helps so much to hear positive news from people that have gone through all this and are SURVIVORS.
I have one question, when you were done with your 12 rounds of Folfox did you take anything else after that or were you completely done?
Praise God for His healing. He is with us every step of the way.
Hugs,

I turn 60 on Dec. 29th.
The picutre in my avatar is last Thanksgiving, 3 months after chemo ended.
I take an aspirin a day (325 mg), eat NO red meat and only a Mediterranean diet, Calcium, Vit. D3 (6,000 IU's is what it takes to keep me in a good range), exercise, Modified Citrus Pectin (1 tsp in applesauce) and loads of laughter. I avoid all negativity and adversity.
My next scan is in April of 2011.
Hubby has a neurogenic or urogenic bladder. His bladder 'died' when he was in his early 30's. His family has a lot of auto immune diseases including MS. He's been suspect for MS for 30 years but it's never been proven and the bladder problem is the only indicator. Catherizing yourself for long periods raises the chance of bladder cancer but we're hoping this is just his enlarged prostate (PSA is normal). He'll be seeing a urologists from Emory.
Thanks so much for those prayers and good wishes!0 -
