New Update
I met with the ENT yesterday and had my PET repeated this morning. The ENT has said that he did not like seeing the new mess on the CT in my nodes, left tonsil and soft palate. He agreed that the PET did need to be repeated. But he also said he didn't feel that my tumor(on the BOT) would shrink much more. Said it would definitely have to be removed the rest of the way with surgery. He also stated that if the least little thing looks suspicious on the PET I would also be having surgery to remove as much as possible and have it all biopsied. Then of course it will be a matter of what it all shows as to the course of treatment. OMG I just feel like I am starting all over again. I am praying that my PET shows nothing. If and he said a big if...if it is all clear he would consider pulling my trache if I could maintain my o2 levels and letting me go 3 months before going through anything else to let my tongue and throat heal since I have had issues with my throat bleeding with my trache. This is the game plan I want..lol. So now I will be hoping and praying that everything looks good. I am prepared for the worse and hoping for the best. Would like to be able to go swimming. Something I haven't been able to do for 2 years. I hope you all have an excellent weekend.

Sorry the news from the ENT was not that great. I think I know a little how you feel, when we go trrough all this grueling treatment,and we want and expect good results. I am 2 weeks away from finishing 7 weeks of radiation and chemo and I am hoping and praying for the best. But at the same time i suppose I have to prepare myself if the next PET is not the one I am hoping for.I just want you to know I will be praying for you.I know you have alot of good peolple here pulling for you, Debbie. Debbie, the waiting is the hard part. I'm sending you lots or positive thinking and even more prayers!!!! I can only imagine how you feel but please try to be strong and hang in the. WE'RE PRAYING FOR THE BEST!!! I am sorry that you have to play the waiting game again.

Hi all,
Thank you for all the prayers and positive support. It has been a very long weekend but I will have answers tomorrow. Joey and I have talked and if the results are bad I am going through with the surgery regardless of how wide spread or how much needs removed. My throat has been very sore again. Kind of feels like strep, but I know most of you understand that. I have my fingers crossed and am hoping for the best. My appt. is 11:00 cdt tomorrow and will post as soon as I get back to the center with my results. I couldn't do this without you all.
