Hello. My father has T3N1 and finished chemo and radiation 4 weeks ago. He is getting a repeat EUS tomorrow and CT scan Friday at Sloan. Does anyone know how long it takes to get results and who gives them to us?

The results should be immediately available
    Kathy,

When I had my EUS they came in and told me the results right after the endoscopy procedure was completed. Since I was still a bit under the influence of the sedation they gave me I asked my wife to take notes and to ask for a definition of any words they used that she did not understand. That worked well, since I thought I was lucid when they came to talk to us but latter could not remember details of the discussion.

The only results that could take additional time would be biopsy specimens that they may take that must be sent to pathology for analysis. That typically takes between 3 and 5 days for results.

The results are given to you after the procedure by the doctor that administers the endoscopic ultra sound.

We will be praying you get positive results.
