Sad news to report about Donna ~UPDATE 8-1-10~

First Thing I Saw When I Awoke This Morning....
Now, hope escapes me....
For, I always thought it could never be Donna, my Chicky.
I'm devastated at this moment. She sounded so good on the phone when we talked on just the 14th, the day before I went into the hospital. Sounded just like her old self, full of life and laughter.
She and I share a special relationship as well - and have from the beginning. I've not talked with her daughters, but have with Wes - and enjoyed sending them some things for Christmas, was special to me.
I just find this so hard to take right now. Just does not seem real, but from reading the update from Brooks, it must be true. I got close to her, because she drew me in - but I know I'm better for knowing her than not. She is such an amazing spirit and everyone loves her so deeply.
I will continue to hold out hope that something can be done. Not giving up on her.
I love you, Chicky!

Prayers
Donna is in my thoughts and Prayers. Today at Mass I said a special Prayer for all of you on this board. My Heart and Prayers go out to you, you are all very strong people. You have helped me out just listening to my posts and I am sure you have all helped a lot more people than you know. I will keep Donna and her family in my Prayers and all of you. God Bless you. Brooks, this is completely
Brooks, this is completely catching me...and the rest of us off guard. I thought last week the results were no brain lets? But, as usual, I'm with Lisa...let's not throw in the towel so soon. Cyberknife may be an option and maybe other things. And hope is only a prayer away.

Donna
This is heart-breaking to hear. All I can see in my head is that great pic of Donna that she has as her avatar. I imagine her husband and children and how their hearts are hurting right now. I pray that Donna can find options for treatment and that in the meantime is not feeling any pain and enjoying time with her family.0 -
Don't Give Up
Donna has a lot of fight in her so don't give up. She will probably out last all of us. Hate to think that they have resorted to hospice. There has to be other options - other trials. Praying for her and all of you on this board everyday. Only you know what this disease does to us (and the wonderful caregivers on this board too). All the recent news is so hard, but we need to keep our heads up for her and everyone else struggling on this board. Still struggling with my emotions and crying for all that has been taken. Just can't get over that.
Love to you all, Kim0 -
Please do not give up Donna!abbey712 said:Prayers for donna and family
I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Donna was one of the first people to reply to my post when i joined this forum. Just seeing her smiling face in the picture beside her posts always cheered me up. I'll be praying for her and her family.
This is heartbreaking to me. It seems like I just read about her going to the beach. Please Donna, if you read this, fight this with all your might. This disease has taken too many good people lately. Believe that miracles happen and one is coming your way!0 -
