Thats amazing that you didn't have to have lotions or creams. Glad you made it with little to no discomfort. Congrats on a "job" well done.
First, congrats you Rad Grad! Second, I can't believe you didn't have to use any creams or lotions. You are a first!
Enjoy your free time now!

Congrats on finishing Rads! WooHoo!! :-) So happy you were one of the lucky ones & didn't have any discomfort! I thought I was going to be too until I looked in the mirror one day last week & was horrified by all the red spots everywhere! I'm down to one more "hold my breath" treatment, then 5 boosts. Can't wait 2B done! Couple more steps...you're almost there!Punkindo said:Radiation

Thanks everyone! I am so glad to be done. Like I said I did cook so I am really dark where I was radiated. I am using a moisturizing creme now in that area to help it heal. Thanks again and group hug!

I hope you do well. I was soooo scared because I was told to just keep the area clean and dry and not use any creams. But it worked out. I can't wait until you finish...I'm still trying to figure out the right time to take the tamoxifen. So far I'm taking it at night. Take care!

Rene! Me2, but unfortunately they just told me yesterday the area will probably get worse! (yay) All that I understood about Boosts is that they Radiate just the area where the tumor was instead of the whole breast. They explained there were two types, Electron & something else??? I'm getting the Electron Boosts. Maybe someone can explain this better??

You didn't have any boosters? I thought everyone did after their regular rads.
Guess I learn something new everyday on here.
Good luck Rene!

I didn't have any boosters. The way it was explained to me by the Rads Dr is that it depends on the size and type. Boosters are used to target the area the cancer was in if it was smaller as large areas cannot be targeted other than through the 'general' rads of the entire area. At least that's how I understood him.
