Nothing tastes good

Crackers
I ate a lot of wheat thins, because they helped to calm my stomach. Of course, I gained weight during chemo, so I'm not necessarily recommending that option! And after a bit, the salt bothered me, too.
Try yogurt, soft serve ice cream, or other creamy things that feel good in your mouth0 -
My mouth isn't sore, but
My mouth isn't sore, but after radiation my throat is sore & swollen. I use ensure, jello, ice cream & soup with veggies are put thru a blender. Almost anything soft & not spicy, bland & tastless works best, unfortunatly. I'm only 2 days past my last radiation so I'm no expert, everything I eat tastes 10X too salty, can't wait till that's over with.0 -

Vinny, my first round left me without taste for about a week 5 days in to treatment. The next round did the same but for only about 4 days. Its terrible when all taste like metal. I see where some people say everything taste like salt. I couldn't taste salt or anything. I could not even taste mustard.0 -

Hey John, I know that feeling, I'm waiting for it to happen but fortunately it hasn't happened yet. It really is a major downer having no taste buds. How are you making out?0 -

Vinny, I have felt pretty good the last few days,no hip pain or tiredness. Taste is been back and actually have energy. That will change next Tuesday when round 3 gets here. I figure I should be dragging by next Friday. Hope you are doing better with your counts and not feeling so worn down. John0 -
