chemochick.com has some cute Tshirts. "I'm too sexy for my hair", "I'm having a no hair day"

Breast cancer has cool shirts like "save the ta tas". I saw one for ovarian that says "ovaries are for losers" HA! I don't like that at all. Gotta come up with a better slogan.

Here ya go, this could go on a t-shirt. My daughter, god bless her, has no tact whatsoever, and she truly tries to find the positive side of everything. So, I'm home from the hospital, craving a cheese steak sub and french fries. Hubby loves me and we order out from the greasiest delivery place in town. The food arrives, and my darling child, looks at me with a big smile and says:

Aren't you glad it wasn't your gall bladder? Now you can eat whatever you want!

I laughed so hard I HOWLED! She was so perky and she meant well!

    I find that

    Leesa...

I find that particularly hysterical, since both my PCP and myself assumed my symptoms were gall gladder related and pre-OVC diagnosis, I did indeed have to restrict what I ate. I thought the gall bladder diagnosis sucked.......until I found out I had cancer. Funny how our perspective can change so quickly, isn't it?

I have a funny hat and a couple funny T-shirts.
I got a bunch of funny stuff to wear on chemo days.

I have a baseball hat that says "Does this hat make my head look bald?" and a matching t-shirt that says "Does this T-shirt make my head look bald?"

I have a long-sleeved lavender T-shirt that says "Hey, Cancer, you picked the wrong broad."

And I got my husband a T-shirt that reads "I love the small of chemo in the morning; smells like remission."

And I have a button that says "Ask me about my eyebrows." That's sick; I know. But I'm warped.

I ordered the tee shirt that says "I love the smell of chemo in the morning". Since I have signed on for a year of Taxol maintenance, I figure I will get at least 12 chances to wear it.

    Fight for Teal..
OPI makes a teal nail polish called "Teal the Cows Come Home". Gonna make my custom shirt with the following slogan in mind- : Fight Like a Girl "Teal" the Cows Come Home.

I started wearing a yellow Livestrong wristband for my husband several years ago and have now attached the teal ribbon pin to the band. I'm thinking about getting my ears double pierced and wear a pair of dark topaz studs. That's as close to a gem-stone I can think of that might be teal (tourquois maybe?) Stay strong ladies. Hope the sun shines on your faces today and also your hearts. Ellen

    Great web site
OK- that web site has some funnies for sure- thanks for sharing. Oh and the gall bladder thing - same with me. That was my first thought, pain in right upper quadrant. I guess it should be listed as one of those 'silent symptoms' that aren't mentioned very often in connection with OVCA

    Gallbladder diagnois also
Hi Leesa, I also had a gallbladder problem diagnosed. Actually went into surgery for that problem. When they opened me up they found my abdomen full of cancer and thank goodness they closed me back up right away. I then started my cancer career. Complete hysterectomy and debulking, just like you with lots of fluid removed. 6 monhts of chemo and I am six months cancer free now. NED. The chemo can get tough but you will get through it. Sounds like you have a great support system, and that is so so important. Keep good thoughts. I have a t-shirt that says I kicked cancers'butt!!!!!
