Bald women are a WONDERFUL vision
The whole thing is a process. We don't get there just by waking up and being ok with it. It takes time, prayer, and acceptance. Guys? The same thing goes for you too!
Embrace it.........before it starts getting messy like John and Vinny describe, get rid of it, you'll feel soooooooo much better. Mine started growing back rather quickly and I even shaved mine twice.
Freaking out about it is NORMAL, but put the boxing gloves on and begin the fight!

Doing R-Chop, this Chemo is so much better only because the last Chemo made me so ill, throwing up all the time, had no taste buds, could not even drink a glass of water without getting sick. I was getting Radiation also with the Chemo, so that had a lot to do with it. I should have got a feeding tube put in, would of helped me. I must say though, this Chemo wears you down a lot quicker. Never felt so weak in my life!!!!! Thanks Again!!!!! Let you know Wednesday about the scan............. Vinny0 -

cIaNNA, HAVE YOU LOST YOUR BROWS AND LASHES ALSO? and if so,do you wear false lashes or pencil in your brows if you are going out?
Not sure if any of you guys in the states have heard of JADE GOODY? She became a 'star' here in the UK after being on Big Brother some years ago. Well she lost her fight with cervical cancer on Mothers Day 2009 and when she had her chemo, she had her shiny head and she pencilled in her brows and wore false lashes. She wore her make-up as normal and you really wouldn't have known she was ill as such. She documented her battle, even down to her last days,on tv. She was a very brave woman and mom.
But it proved to me that you could still look great even on chemo with a little time and effort. Not that many ppl have the energy to go thru all that every day! lol
But she was an inspiration. It was a very sad documentary but one that opened up ppl's eyes to the importance of getting smear tests done.
by the way,you look so pretty with no hair!! =D0 -

I have to say losing my hair was probably my biggest fear. Being a retired hairdresser, you know its all about the hair. Anyway when it started coming out by the hand fulls I just shaved it. Guess what I learned? Hair is over rated! Around the house I just let my head shine. When I go in public I put on some hair, or a scarf or a hat. BUT after reading your post I think I will just put some sunscreen on and let her shine. Thanks0 -

I am starting to lose my eyelashes this week. I have pretty thick lashes so i haven't resorted to fake lashes yet. As for my eyebrows...they are bushier than ever! I actually need to go get them waxed. They are out of control!
Thanks for saying i look great without hair! I really am missing my hair lately, BUT i do still really enjoy not having to worry about my hair or having to muster up the energy to fix it.
Also, love the new boobies!0 -

yeah i know hair would be preferable, but i can imagine how getting up in a morning and not having to wash and blow dry your hair is quite nice really. Think of it as Gods way of making things easier on you cus He knows how tired you are going to be from the chemo,so taking your hair gives you some time off! =D
YEAH THE NEW BOOBIES ARE GREAT SO FAR! LOL But cant wair for my exchange surgery cus these ones are like 2 rocks!!!0 -

You girls look so beautiful with no hair, I cant find myself to go out in public without a scraf yet... I've lost most of my eyelashes and eyebrows too so I have to wear false ones and pencil in my eyebrows. I surely miss them and will never complain about my hair EVER again0 -
