Nicholas Cage or John Trovalta -- I don't know what it is about these 2 wonderful and talented actors .. I enjoy the roles they've acted in .. and continue to see their wild, or wackie movies.

    YES!
Me too VickSam!!! I especially like John Travolta! Did you read where his wife is expecting? I didn't know if it was just trash talk or if it was true. That would be so great, since they lost their son.

I loved Nicholas Cage in The Rock and the one with the plane, where he was with all of those convicts on it. What was that? Air something? Help me!! lol

Ritzy .. I think you are referring to 'CONAIR'
A released prisoner looking for a ride home .. to see his wife, and baby girl - Casey ..he has a friend along a diabetic - Nick spends 1/2 the movie try to get a clean needle for his friend, baby face. Nick then becomes BFF with serial killer - I think his character name was .. Poe or Polk ... Army Ranger .. AKA .. The GOOD GUY trying to get home to his family ..

LOVED this movie .. obviously ..

John Malkovich, wasn't he the bad guy in that movie? He's been in some strange movies, but he's an awesome actor. He's going to be the trainer in the movie about Secretariat coming out soon.

P.S. I loved that movie too, VickiSam!

John Malkovich is one of those actors that can play any part and play it so well. Although, he usually is the bad guy, which he plays so well. lol

Kevin Costner is good too. We've seen most of his movies. Perfect World is really good.

And, Sean Connery. I think that man will still be good looking when he is 100! He was in the Rock too with Nick Cage. OH, listen to me, I am calling him Nick now. lol

Brad Pitt is pretty easy on the eyes too as my Mom would say. Love River Runs Through It and Legends of the Fall.

Have you seen Nicholas Cage and John Travolta in Faceoff? Great movie!

    Wow...taste is certainly
Wow...taste is certainly subjective, isn't it? I can't stand Nicolas Cage movies! I admit I liked "Moonstruck", but anything else I have see him in~ blah! I also know I am not much of an action/adventure kind of movie-goer, so the "Con Air", and anything else in that vein isn't ever my cuppa tea. And OMG~ I was not interested in "National Treasure", 1 or 2, and "Ghost Rider" was the worst movie ever!! Even Reggie couldn't believe how bad it was!And he'll pretty much watch anything! LOL

I think Sean Connery is gorgeous~ but again, not so much for the action flicks. I loved him as the teacher in "Finding Forrester." Not so much a box office hit, I don't think, but I loved it!

I am a sucker for Kevin Costner~I have seen and adored "For Love Of The Game" a million times~ also starring Kelly Preston, John Travolta's wife. Yup, even WaterWorld! LOL

I USED to like Mel Gibson~ he was beautiful in "Forever Young"~ but the less said now about MG, the better!

I am not so much a who-the star-is, I am more what the movie is about and my mood at any time! Reggie has pretty much given up taking me to the movies; as soon as the lights go down , I hunker down, and zzzzzzzzzz! It gets to be a pretty expensive nap! I wait till they are On Demand! If I like a movie though, I will like it and watch it forever! Don't ask me how many times I have seen "Joe vs. The Volcano" or "The Blind Side" or...back in the day I admit, I saw "Babe" ( and cried!) at least a dozen times! "I saw 'Life is Beautiful", but only in Italian with subtitles, English would have been a sacriledge!

So, I don't have any eye candy in the movie world~ just my Reggie in my actual one! Yeah!

Johnny Depp kind of gives me
Johnny Depp kind of gives me the creeps.

Maybe, because he is in some weird movies. I don't know...

We just saw Taking Chance with Kevin Bacon. It is a wonderful show. I will tell you a little about it, but, not too much.

Kevin Bacon is a Marine Officer and wants to do something for our guys overseas fighting. So, he offers to escort a fallen Marine back to his hometown.

The journey along the way amazed my hubby and me, such respect was given.

I wish everyone would rent it and see it.

It is sad in places, but, it also gave me great pride in my country.

I wouldn't recommend it for a "date" night.

    Ok..enough said lol

    Finding Forrester
I LOVED that movie. I would have to put it in my top 10. Yes, Sean Connery was great in it. I loved him too in the Indiana Jones movies. ... which brings up Harrison Ford. And Clint Eastwood. I think all three; Sean Connery, Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood are still very good looking men.

No one I can think of. Just like good movies but what did you expect from someone who was a fan of Richard Simmons! I still think he's a good guy inside.

    Does anyone remember....
Sam Elliott? He played in " Mask"? I've always liked him. He's a voiceover in a commerical. Don't know which one. I like Johnny Depp, Sean Connery. And for the really old ones, Geogery Peck,Cary Grant and William Powell. James Stewart is also fun. Super Sweet guy too. I'm a big old movie fan. Don't know to much about the newer movies. Interesting thread. Katz

    Sam Elliott
He's one of my all time favorites. Loved him in the one with Patrick Swayze where they were bouncers in a really trashy bar. Hated it when he got killed. chemo brain doesn't let me remember the name of the movie.

Also so Sean Connery and Denzel Washington. The three of them don't even have to act, just show up.

    great thread.

    Was it Roadhouse with Sam
Was it Roadhouse with Sam and Patrick? That was good! And, Patrick Swayze's real wife was his love in that show. I thought that was really cool!

Denzel is good! I don't think he ever made a bad movie.

I love Sam Elliott too~ he
I love Sam Elliott too~ he also was in that dumb Ghost Rider movie! LOL But he is an old, handsome, gravely-voiced cowboy, isn't he?? Love that look!

The old movies stars~ they go without saying! I introduced Siobhan to old black and white films when she was a little girl, and she still has "girl's day" with me to watch oldies but goodies! I have "Beau Geste" with Gary Cooper, and of course she loved it! We also have, speaking of Gregory Peck, "Roman Holiday", which introduced Audrey Hepburn....sweeeeet! "Mrs. Minniver" with Greer Garson is wonderful , and I have a sneaking suspicion that Marcia likes 2 of my other all time favorites: "Arsenic and Old Lace" and "Harold and Maude"~ the latter with Cat Stevens doing the soundtrack! Awesome movies! Which reminds me, a young, young Shirley McLaine in the hilarious "The Trouble with Harry." Priceless gems!

Oh yeah, and the best thing about Reggie taking me to a Lakers game in Los Angeles during treatment?? Of course Denzel Washington was there, walking around, smiling that 1000 watt smile and making me weak-kneed! LOL

    Ok everybody esp Chen
I watch "Silent Sundays" on TCM. Its been awhile back, and of course can't remember the name of the silent movie, but I actually cried. Had to do with a soldier falling in love with a japanese women and the did the "nasty" and she was shamed by her family. Cause it resulted in a child. Course he went back to his life in America not knowing of the child. He found out and he and his American bride went back to visit. They ran into the japanese women and the little girl and the asian woman gave them the child and then committed suicide. Man I had big old tears. All silent and in black and white. That was years before cancer, chemo and lack of hormones. Can't blame that! lol Katz

    Has anyone seen the Denzel
Has anyone seen the Denzel Washington movie, something about Eli? It looks kind of science

fiction, and, I don't like those, but, I usually like him.

I like Harrison Ford too. The Witness was really good. The raiders of the lost arc

    series are all good.

We saw "Grownups" a few weeks ago with Adam Sandler and other comedians. It was ok, but,

nothing like we thought it would be. I thought it would be funnier.

    "The Book Of Eli"...a
"The Book Of Eli"...a post-apocalyptic story of a lone man in search ( or was it keeping?) of a book which will save mankind. I didn't see it, but Siobhan did and she liked it a lot. More than that, I don't know! LOL
