More good news

edited March 2014 in Colorectal Cancer #1
After the worst 15 months of my life, I got the results from my PET/CT and MRI and was given the "all clear"! Had a little scare when the PET/CT showed some 'metabolic activity' in the liver, but the MRI came back completely normal (what a great word!). Still have 2 more surgeries to go ----- one in September to redo my anastomosis which is overgrown with scar tissue and include one opening of the fistula, as well as to repair the fistula itself; then another three months later to reverse the ileostomy.

I almost didn't post this because I haven't been on the board for long and felt a little like maybe I hadn't "paid my dues" as a contributing member. But then I read several of your 'good news' posts and felt so encouraged! I hope that my good news is encouraging to someone else.

Wishing all of us only good news!
With thanks to everyone for making this such a helpful "community",
Dorothy

    Good news is always welocme,
Good news is always welocme, with old and new members - it really encourages me to see good thing on this board. Congratulation, it looks like things are looking good for you. I think it will make your other procedures easier to handle when things are looking so good. Take good care!

You might be "new" here but you're certainly not new to the
battlefield.....Hoping for a future of continual great news.....steve
