vectibix
I am currently getting vectibix with iriontecan. The most common side effect of vectibix is an acne like skin rash. I have been lucky so far and it hasn't been a problem. I was on an antibiotic for two weeks before starting vectibix. The only side effect I've had trouble with is the nail beds on my toes have become a little inflamed and my skin is extremely dry, always had dry skin to begin with so it just got a little worse. I think I keep the lotion companies in business I use so much of it. Some people I have talked to said they got the rash really bad from vectibix. Some feel the worse the rash the better the drug is working, but my scans have showed a dramatic reduction in my liver mets since starting on iriontecan and vectibix. The worst side effect for me has been hair loss from the iriontecan, I feel like a plucked chicken. I know its only hair but now I actually look like a cancer patient, before this no one was aware I had cancer unless I told them.I will say that this combo has been much easier to handle than the folfox was, I still have a little neuropathy left over from it and gained all the weight I lost back, not that I wanted to.LOL I really hope this combo works for you. Blessings to you and yours.

Thanks for the information. I am trying to gather as much info as I can. I, too have not lost my hair yet. I'm expecting to on the irinotecan. I just had my second treatment of it yesterday so the hair loss should be coming soon. I work in the school with 5-8 year old special needs children. So in the fall, I'll be returning bald and with a bad rash. My most beautiful side. I hope this will be easier that FOLFOX.
Thanks
