Results in froms husband's endoscopy biopsy
Basketcase wife here again! The biospy from hubby's bleeding ulcer did show cancer! Needless to say, I've been a triple basketcase. We got the results last Thursday from the gastro; he did say it may be the same type he had in his neck and he thought it was treatable. We had seen the onc. for the horrible lower back pain last Wed. Charlie is having and he gave him some pain pills for that and has ordered an abdominal cat scan and lower lumber mri for tomorrow and we see him again on Thursday. Of course when we found out about the biospy we immediately called the onc. to see if he wanted to proceed with these tests tomorrow and he does; he said we have some time and some wiggle room and we'd sit down and talk about this Thursday. I think I'm more scared and afraid than Charlie is and I mean this with all my heart; I'd trade places with him glady; not that I wish I had cancer but y'all know what I mean. I try to stay off the internet as reading about gastric cancer scares you to death. We are praying that this has been caught in time and that it will be treatable/curable. It's so hard because I just can't handle the thought of not having him; so I'm trying to be more positive and remember what the oncol. has said about the time and wiggle room. The onc. said the back pain (this was on Wed. before we knew about the biopsy) that this could be a herniated disc or possibly a kidney stone lodged. Fortunately, and Praise the Lord he is feeling better and has the back pain under control. We go at 1:30 tomorrow for the ct scan and mri and 9:15 Thursday morning to the onc. Blood work is still improving. We desparately need all the prayers we can get. We have chosen not to say anything to our families or friends until we talk to the onc. on Thurs. because we really don't know what the gameplan is. The gastro did tell him you beat it before. Just wanted to update everyone and thanks for the prayers and continued ones.

Prayers AlsoHondo said:Hi Jan
Sorry to hear the news, but like you said hopefully you got it in time and can get it removed before it becomes a problem, I will also continue to keep you both in prayers
Good that they found it, like HONDO mentioned, hope it is going to be very treatable, and get you guys back on the road to recovery.
God Bless,

Jan,
Like the others, very sorry you're on the front line in the fight again.
It makes me hopeful that gastro seems positive.
Prayers and wishes,
