I had one about 6 months
I had one about 6 months post chemo -- painful urination, increasing cloudy urine. My PC doctor prescribed Cipro which took care of it. However, I think this resulted in my first 'recurrence' diagnosis -- had my lab work and CT scan a couple of weeks post treatment which showed high ca 125 and enlarged lymph nodes in groin. All resolved over next couple of months without treatment, but I was prepped (port implanted) and scheduled for chemo until new results showed normal ca 125, then CT showed nodes resolving. Non biopsy so I'll never know for sure. Hope all goes well, quick resolution, bladder infections are no fun.0 -

hi,
i just got an urine test yesterday, and started on cipro last night, though no results for a couple of days. actually, took two cipro yesterday, and already feel less burning/pain peeing. just don't know how i could have gotten it. do you have any ideas re: how you got yours? only have had a couple in my life.
that's strange, but great that everything went back to normal--high ca 125, ct scan, etc. thank goodness you didn't have to go through chemo for nothing. it's hard to believe everything would just resolve on it's own if it really were cancer, does sound like the infection enlarged your lymph nodes, etc. good you didn't need a biopsy; really doesn't sound like you needed one and everything resolved fairly quickly.
i think i caught this fairly early, not too much pain, etc., more discomfort.
thanx again for responding.

I got one too after my Hysterctomy....I blame it on the surgery and the catheter...
I also took Cipro and it took care of it. My bladder was a bit wacky for about 3 months post surgery...hard to explain, just felt like it was placed differently than before, which I know is due to the removal of the uterus....
Anyway, no issues since. God Bless!

yeah, i'm taking cipro too, though haven't gotten official results yet re: urine test, i'm quite sure it's a bladder infection. and it seems to be getting better with the cipro. just how does one get these things? the only thing i've done differently is taken a few baths lately, which i normally don't. would hate to give them up altogether. glad you haven't had any issues since the first. it just feels like insult to injury; on the other hand, rather it be bladder infection than something else.....it's been over a year since my surgery, so i don't think i can blame it on that, but who the heck knows???
thanx again, hope all is well with you. (that sure is a cute photo of tiggers; is that you as a youngster? )

yes, i am feeling much better. still don't know the results of a second urine test i took, should know tuesday. if it's positive, then i did have an uti; if no bacteria, doesn't mean i didn't have one; means either all the bacteria are gone from the cipro, or i never had one. oh well; glad i'm better now. hope you're well. yes, let's see an update of alexander.
