I started drinking a shot of Forever aloe, and taking the Trader Joe's greens powder with glass of cherry juice and the numbness and ache in my wrist and up my arm is gone. I have had this for 6 months!! I have only been on this three days... It's either that or, the dang fall might have put everything back where it's suppose to be!

Have a great 4th of July and remind everyone to be safe!!!!!!

    You go Girl!!!
One of my buddies from the local running club is a pharmacist and she was telling 2 weeks ago about how she and her husband have gotten off anti-inflammatories (both run half marathons and more) by drinking tart cherry juice. She read about it in one of her industry magazines that said it beat out all over the counter meds easily in a real live documented study. They both swear by it now.

I was telling her about my success with Devils Claw and she told me about it. She did say that tart cherries had much more of the whatever it is that helps in it then the sweet ones but that only meant that they eat the sweet cherries while they are in season and "chase" them with some tart cherry juice after a long run.

I recently found a new veggie smoothie drink I love and think you might like too. I call it a Gazpacho shot since it has all the stuff usually found in the cold soup. Now that it is summer with all the fresh stuff, it's a cinch to make too. In a blender (not a juicer) I put in a ripe tomato, a chunk of peeled cucumber, a wedge of a green bell pepper, a wedge of sweet onion, and a clove of garlic. To that I add a tablespoon of red wine vinegar and extra virgin olive oil with some water. Puree for 2 or so minutes to get it all drinkable and viola!!! Made fresh and fast you get all the good live enzymes that juicing gives you with some fiber along with good olive oil fats and alkaline vinegar. It's my new happy hour drink but one of my brothers says it would be much better with some worcheshire sauce and vodka!!! You can serve it like shots in small shot like glasses for several or make one big glass for just you.

    Happy 4th!

    Lisa P.

Again, good for you for finding stuff your body needs and obviously likes.

    Hi Scouty,

I made your Gazpacho smoothie today (slightly modified version) + loved it. I din't have any bell peppers, so I left that out, and substituted lemon juice for the red wine vinegar. I also added a small amount of flax seed oil. It is really good, + full of nutrients! Very refreshing too. Thanks for the recipe.

    Thank you!
I am having a appetizer 4th of July picnic and wanted a cold soup to make...funny but, your drink was my choice of soup! I will blend it and give it a try....my brothers would add beer to your drink to make a Red Beer! Which is yummy too but I will stick to the virgin juice!

I don't eat or drink anything I don't like.....it's amazing too how quickly you get used to smaller portions and lighter portions. We normally cook up steaks or ribs for the 4th, not this year....... Grilled Veggies and Mushroom burgers!! We do have hamburger for those that want meat! I have 8 brothers and sisters and all of them have changed their diet since I was diagnosed. We all eat together often and meat is the smallest side, if it's even present!

For dessert we are having fresh fruit smoothies made with fruit, yogurt and ice. My daughter is making some egg free cupcakes. Egg is a culprit to a lot of allergies! When the body is fighting allergies it stops taking care of the important stuff!! Don't put up with the allergies, get looked at and get them out of your body/nose! Have a great day!
