Thanking God for early detection & technology
My journey has seemed to be an adventurous one with many trials. But I pray that I can remain a fighter through it all by the Grace of God.
My story follows:
Dx w/BC 12/09
Lumpectomy 01/10
Vulva abcess (highly infected & need to be addressed before chemo could start)removal w/hospital stay 04/10
Chemo started 05/10
Booster shots required with the chemo treatments which are administered 2 days after treatment
Dx with blood clots on both lungs 06/10 which involved a 5 day hospital stay, no longer self injecting but taking blood thinners
Had 3rd chemo treatment yesterday with one to go before rads will start. I know someone is praying for us all and I pray that it continues.

I agree
Hurray for having only one more chemo. You're movin' on! What a great attitude you have -- that is a helpful part of your treatment, no doubt.
Octavia, I am so grateful for early detection, too. I'm just stuck on the fact that my annual mammogram found the bc that otherwise would have gone undetected until it got more extensive. After bi-lateral mastectomy and chemo, I have a hard time convincing people that I feel fortunate, but I do!0 -

Early dtection is what helped me too. My BC was found only because of my yearly mammo. Sorry for your tough time but glad it is only 1 more treatment for you. Prayers being said God Bless

Early detection saved me! Microcalcifications showed up on my mammogram which alerted the techs that something wasn't right. Kudos to mammos!
Sending you lots of prayers and lots of hugs!
