Does having breast cancer qualify us for the Make A Wish Foundation? Yes it would be for myself but there is someone out there I need to meet before my time is up.

Thanks for your help, if the answers are yes, then would one of you contact them for me.....

PLEASE, Love Ronda

Sorry Ronda, but, the Make A
Sorry Ronda, but, the Make A Wish Foundation is for children suffering from a life threatening disease. It is a really great organization. It helps so many kids.

I got the following off of their website:

"Welcome to Wish.org, the online home of the nation’s largest wish-granting organization. Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has given hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions. From our humble beginnings with one boy’s wish to be a police officer, we’ve evolved into an organization that grants a child’s wish in the U.S. every 40 minutes."

I did find a few sites for
I did find a few sites for adults, not all apply to you, but one thing they have in common as far as I can tell: They are for TERMINALLY ill adults oftentimes those who are end-stage.

I was sadly unaware that you are in this category...please tell me it isn't so! I am "making a wish" for you that you find yourself at the end of treatment, dancing with NED, enjoying Life After Cancer for absolute eons!

I don't know how to help you to connect with the former Journey singer; since he no longer tours with them, and has been replaced by the most amazing sound alike who was actually discovered by the band on YouTube~

I am sure he must have a website, most everyone does! Perhaps you can contact him that way? I hope your dreams come true; I have met some of my favorites, and it is a wonderful experience, that's for sure! Some of the eclectic group of entertainers I have had the pleasure of meeting : Lyle Lovett, Gene Simmons, Bill Cosby, 3 Dog Night, and Sinbad to name a few~ and that has been in the past 24 months!

Good luck meeting Steve Perry! Just not as a "going away" gift....unless this is just something on your Bucket List for the far, far away future.

    Hugs,
    Chen♥

    I'm not a fan type person. I
I'm not a fan type person. I didn't even feel the need to see stars/whoever in person. But there was one I was excited about seeing...RICHARD SIMMONS! I can just see you guys rolling your eyes! He use to make mall visits and I saw him at the mall once. I actually wrote him my one and only fan letter. We each have our own path to take and mine is a lonely one. :>)

    I was never a fan
I was never a fan seeker-outer or star struck myself. But with Reggie being a Tribal Elder, and being so friendly ( I swear EVERYONE loves my Reggie!) that when we go to concerts, and the Casino is less than a 1/4 mile from the house, we get ushered in even without tickets and more often than not we are invited backstage!

marcia, I am pretty accepting but Richard Simmons???????????????? LOL yes yours may be a lonely path but good for you !
I dont know what I would say if I did meet anyone, I'm kind of an introvert. I'll have to think about it. Ok maybe Diane Sawyer, just because she seems so nice and smart.

Steve Perry and Journey .. Saw them in concert
over 20 something years ago - at the Ingelwood Forum - here in California.

My girlfriend Annabelle had gotten tickets for my birthday - so we were on the floor at the forum - I could of touched Steve Perry. We were silly and young. We danced to every song .. We sang, laughed and smoked (you get the picture?) our way thru 4 hours of concert. Wow! What a great performance.

On the way out of the parking lot, Annabelle side swiped another car - information exchanged but no police called -)) for obviously reasons. We continued our friendship thru the years. Annabelle died of Liver Cancer - 20 years ago just 3 months after marrying the man of her dreams. I attended Annabelle furneral 6 months pregnant with my son. Bittersweet time for me.

Just wanted to share the fond memories I have of Steve Perry and one of the last times, Annabelle and I lived carefree and ignorant to 'Cancer'.
