edited March 2014 in Ovarian Cancer #1
May 17 of this year marked 4 years since my diagnosis; and June 1st marked 4 years since my 'big surgery'.

I have had 3 recurrences after inital diagnosis.

I have had 4 sessions of chemo, finishing the last one Feb 10, 2010.

My CA was 6.1 in March, and 3 weeks ago it had creeped up to 8.9 (Normal scale is 0-17).

Tomorrow is my 3-month check-up, and I'm hoping they'll say "come back in 3 months" again.

It's a very odd feeling to have a clear calendar after so very, very long....

Hope, Faith, & Prayer, and mostly God, has gotten me through this. I hope He sends some healing blessings my way, and that I get to dance w/NED for atleast a little while longer~

xoxo

    Hi Susan,
    I'm right there

    Hi Susan,

I'm right there with you my friend.

Since finishing my taxol 2 weeks ago, I can't imagine not seeing my doctor for 2 months!

I'm almost afraid to look past any given "next appt" dates, in fear that something is going to go wrong. But I shake that fear away.

I'm so happy for you is what I wanted to say and I hope and pray that I can claim 4 years (I just made it past the 3 year mark) as you have.

I guess we know to just enjoy this free time we have.

I've actually started my sculptures/paintings again.

    Take care,

    Sharon

    Thank you everyone!!!
Thank you all for the encouraging wishes :)

I'm happy to say that I saw my oncologist this week, and I don't have to go back for 3 months!

I am, of course, unhappy about the rise in my CA, but I've chosen NOT to think about that until October when it's time to get tested again. This is the longest I've had 'off of chemo' in the past 4 years, so I'm going to enjoy it as much as I can.

Love & Prayers to all of you~
    ~Susan xoxo
