RECENT CT...ANYONE HAVE THIS???

Had a ct with and without contrast last week and the results showed increase in the size and numberof lymph nodes in the mesenteric area, but were not patholigic, according to the radiatiologist. Followup reccomended. My Doc was going to repeat in a year, but changed his mind to 6 months. Was ok with that at first, the got concerned it was a precursor to metastatis. Wrote him an email and he said we could get a Pet scan for more info, but it wouldn't change treatment much. I was all set to do it, then realized I was probably overeacting, and didn't want to overdue radiation. left decision up to him and we are rechecking in 3 months with my next pap.
Has this happened to anyone else; and what was the out come? I am Stage 1iiB grade 2-3. All paps normal,mammogram normal, 1st Ct normal, ca-125 was 4,5 6, and now 8.

Would love some input, but just realize I didn't start a new thread! Too tired to change it.

    I believe the reason for the continued CTs is because of the increase. I have had CT scans (all with and without contrast). I was on an alternating scheudle with my gyn/onc and radiation/onc. I would get them every 6 months. However, this past year because they thought they saw something I had three CT scans, three PET Scan and a MRI. All showed negative findings (in fact one CT showed a slight decrease) By the way, I was staged at Grade 2, Stage ii/iiia endo adeno. (diagnosed in 2005). Like you, all PAPs were negative, mammograms, etc. My CA125 was not an indicator.

    I just had my PET scan in June and it was negative, but have to be on a three month check up with gyn/onc again.

    Also, just so you know, I did have one PAP smear which came back atypical. But the radiation/onc was not surprised and says with brachy/radiations you can get that, but that I would need another PAP smear in 6 months. (it was negative too).

    I think this past year I am "glowing" from my scans! lol.

    I guess what I am trying to say is that if something is different on your scan, they usually follow up either 3 months or 6 months just to keep tabs.

    I was stage 1iia,Grade 2-3 endometroid adenocarcinoma. The false sense of security, was blown with the last CT. So we will see what shows up at my Sept CT. I also feel like I will be glowing; hate the thought of all that radiation.

    i had my first ct post chemo with and w/o contrast and it showed one slightly enlarged periaortic lymph node. we decided to just watch it and i'd have another ca 125 in three months, and if it were higher than it had been (although within normal range), a ct/pet would be next. so, at this point, don't know what the enlargement is, could be cancer, certainly, but could also be scar tissue since there were no suspicious cells around it. i'm fine with the wait and see approach at this point.
