Word for the day Psalm 23 very popular scripture
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercey shall follow me
all the days of my life;
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Thanks Balentine!
And Samari...I don't know about being the 'calm guru'....but I do know I have to keep my eyes on Jesus more and more as the days pass....I have had alot of anxiety the past month off and on and today saw the onc and he said I was NED but have alot of questions about whether I should start the tamoxifen or not. You can read my other post I just put out about it. I am just praying for God to tell me what to do and I also plan to get a second opinion. God bless.

If God is the one telling you what to do, I don't think you need a second opinion. But I guess that's not what you meant. Anyway, it's good to have you on here boosting up the spiritual side, because it's pretty easy to fall into the "God why have you forsaken me" mode.

Bob,
Yes, it is easy to ask 'why me?' after getting a dx of cancer but it is much healthier to say 'why not me?' That gets you out of the victim mode and into the humble and dependent on God mode. He orchestrates my circumstances and although I may not know why He is allowing what He is allowing, I know I can trust Him because he is omnipotent...His ways are perfect and He always has a plan and a lesson for us all. God leads us if we allow Him to however in this flesh we have alot of voices vying for our ear and affections. We have to pray and know God is holding us in His hand and will close doors and open others. He also provides doctors for our benefit of healing and I do believe He can work through them to heal us as we also pray to work through our doctors to deliver our healing and what His will is for us. We need to pray for our doctors to discern correctly what their patients needs are and how best to treat them. God bless.
