just been cravin it like crazy, with blue corn tortilla chips. Love mine home made with lots of garlic, fresh lime, and cilantro, dash of s & p. Also on dave's killer bread, toasted in the mornings (instead of butter).

Chocolate & Ice Cream- YUM!
I have always had a weakness for chocolate and ice cream. We have a gift certificate to See's Candy! I will probably use it come 4th of July so that family and friends can each have a heavenly treat with us!
Ice cream is another weakness! Summer is just around the corner and I know my daughter and I will make trips to the local Rite Aid for a scoop every once in a while.
My best to all!

OK so from what I can see a lot of us are beer drinking, ice cream loving, choco-holic, pizza craving, potato eating, Mexican & Italian drooling, mac & cheesers and sushi dreaming ladies!
Too bad we can't all meet for a pot luck!
Man would THAT be good!!!
I wonder how we could have a virtual pot luck online and share recipes maybe??
That might be fun.
OK I'm hungry again!
Love you Invisi-Sistas!

Like the others, it is hard to just pick one. I think it would be any kind of good home cooked meal. Meat loaf, beef stew, lasagna, fried chicken, roast beef..you get the idea. LOL0 -

Bella Luna, if I didn't already know you were a Southern California girl, your post would give it away!
See's Candy is my favorite chocolate of all...I just don't see the appeal of all the snobby chocolate brands -- See's Dark Bordeaux is heaven to me.
And Rite-Aid back in the day used to be Thrifty Drugstore, and everybody went to Thrifty's for ice cream. My grandpa used to take me to Thrifty's for ice cream cones when I was little -- only 10 cents a scoop back then!

I just ate lunch
I just ate lunch and after reading all your posts I'm craving all sorts of food. I had egg salad in an organic soft tortilla. Then had a bowl of frest cut watermelon, strawberries, blueberries and grapes. I have my surgery on Tuesday and won't start treatment for 3-4 weeks down the road. It will be interesting to see if my cravings change.
I love nuts, ice cream w/Hershey's syrup (oh heck, make it a banana split!), seafood or chicken/broccoli pizza, homemade cookies, all kinds of candy, mmmmmmm. I've been trying to lose the weight I gained during menopause (80#s) and it's been a slow journey. Because of my osteoarthritis in the spine I've actually gotten shorter too. I would like to lose weight as the following months go by........

I always loved See's candy too~ I do believe that the famous episode of I Love Lucy working on the chocolate assembly line was directly because of See's candy in So Cal! They ship, ( except in the summertime...duh!) and I used to send boxes to my friends in NY who were in college~ instant popularity for them! LOL
Thrifty ice-cream~ my then hubby and I used to go there too~ he was on the GI Bill going to school and it was what we could afford. When I felt especially decadent I would get the sugar cone. I think that the ice-cream was from the Carnation company. Nothing compares with it in the nostalgia part of my brain!
I really don't have comfort foods to speak of anymore. I still have chocolate from EASTER sitting around, and now and then, I will have maybe a spoonful of ice-cream, but it doesn't call my name the way it did in my mis-spent youth.
I am one of those people who absolutely adores cooking and decorating and having friends/family over and setting the table and having lavish dinner parties...but eating? I generally don't. I am one of those people who eats to live, rather than lives to eat. By the time I finish cooking and serving, seems the smell of the food has made me full! I take a small plate and push the food around, so I don't get "the look" from Reggie!
Today, for example, I had one hardboiled egg. And I'm full. No toast, no potatoes, no juice. Just an egg!
Maybe chemo will kick in my hunger-gene~ it did the first time! We stopped at El Pollo Loco after every session !
Hugs,
