Anyone at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital???
I am through the liver resection and HAI pump insertion theory. All went relatively well. Now I am in the end of my recovery period. Day 8 likely to go till Monday or Tuesday. Let's hope Monday.
Let me know if any of my fellow MSK patients are here for a visit. Perhaps we could meet for a coffee.
Best to all.
Mike

Surgery at MSK on Monday. Expected 5 night stay on the 15th floor...
Hope all is going well with you.
I am unsure of my departure date and time. If I stay through Monday, perhaps we can meet. I am on the 16th floor.

I don't know when I'll be in my room or when I'll be allowed to walk (epidural for pain).
If you're still in on Tuesday - maybe then.0 -
Mike-
How are you feeling?

How are you feeling? did the nurses and respitory therapists get you going every day like they did me???? Hope you are feeling well. I'm sure you're sore, but time will take care of that.
Best of luck with your recovery and here's to kicking cancer's a$$

I may send David to the 16th floor to say hi. He'll be waiting around for me while I'm in surgery and the recovery room. Plus, he drinks coffee, and I don't!
Feel good!

The staff here at MSK are very good. Regimented, yet friendly. I am doing the breathing exercises and walking each day. Boredom is setting in. I look forward to getting home and enjoying time with my family while I recoup. I should have a month off work and intend to enjoy as much as a 1/2 liver guy can. (It would have been some cold ones on the patio) now it is going to be quiet music and green tee.
Thanks for the kind note.

All going well - planned for discharge tomorrow. Surg was clean; hernia repair was straightforward.
Alice:
I ended up getting discharged on Tuesday and very happy to be home. MSK is a great hospital as they go but I much prefer home.
Sorry we were not able to connect. I wish you well and a speedy recovery.
