Funky vein looking thing...
OK so I did a whole lot of worrying for nothing.
Still on for nipple reconstruction this Saturday. Starting to overeat in an effort to cope. What's new?
Anyway, I kept seeing this strange large "thing" that resembled a large vein moving aroud the top of my boob.
I thought I'd better tell the plastic surgeon before he cut.
Turns out it was just the "rippling" of the silicone implant. I'd never noticed anything like this until recently.
I think it may be because my pectoral muscles are finally starting loosen up and you can see more of the implant.
Just wanted to share in this new development.
Maybe I'll only gain five pounds this week!

Rippling. A new fun thing to
Rippling. A new fun thing to learn about! I suppose it will keep changing as the pecs loosen and the implant settles? ANYWAY, on with the nipplization!
I'm with ya on the comfort eating. Blah. Let's worry about that AFTER these surgeries!0 -

Sorry, I can not help .. I chose to have my nipples removedAngie2U said:Good luck on Saturday!
Good luck on Saturday!
due my DCIS cancer diagnosis .. My Breast Cancer Specialist insisted that the odds of cancer transference was low .. called it .. conservation of nipples and transplant .. I did not want to take any chances ..so I decided to have my nipples trashed durning my double mact'mty. One of my 2 breast cancer's started in my milk ducts, which are connected to my nipples.
My plastic surgeon is extremly well know in the breast cancer community, his work recreating nipples has been published and discussed at many medical conferences .. so my decision was easy .. I am allowing Dr. Ivan Turpin to make me beautiful nipples .. Oh what fun ...!
My choice, my decision.
Goood luck with your procedure, let us know how it turns out .. You'll do great .. Reconstruction has come a loooooooooong way!
