Louann,

How are you doing? I haven't seen a post for awhile and I know you have been in so much pain. Please let us know how you are doing. I know you were going to M D Anderson this month for second opinions. We just left there today and I do hope you get to Houston.

Anyone heard from Louann?

    MD Anderson
    Louann is away until after the doctor's appointment on the 22nd and is keeping in touch by phone and one contact person. She had bloodwork on Monday and a CT scan is being done and then checked against the one done in Tulsa previously. As of late yesterday, she had no results. MD Anderson has upped her morphine to help control her pain.

    Her spirits are a bit better, but she was unable to eat, vomits a lot, abdominal cramping and has to use a wheelchair. Her son, Jimmy, met them there and is helping out.

    Her oncologist had only given her Xeloda after surgery to remove a very aggressive softball sized tumor that was OUTSIDE the colon but attached. When they found it had spread to the liver and pancreas, he gave her nothing. She hasn't even seen him in over a month!

    Louann is a woman of faith and she's asked for continued prayers for a total healing but she always says that she's not afraid of death and knows she will be with her Savior in heaven so she wants God's will in her life, first and foremost.

    I think she is now down at MD Anderson. She was able to get an Angel Flight down there and was so happy and thankful about that since her hubby lost his job. Like Diane said, her son is meeting her down there. I don't have her caring bridge site here at work but when I get home tonight I will leave her another note that the board is asking about her.

    Her CB site is shown on her
    Her CB site is shown on her FB info page but she's keeping in contact thru a close friend and sister in law. Her CB has not been updated since leaving for MD Anderson.

    Louann asked me to give you and the people on Crosswalk the above info, so I'm not speaking out of turn. :-)

    Thanks for the update on Louann. She sounded so sick in her last post. I've had her on my prayer list and have been worried about her. Please let us know how she is doing when you hear any news. I didn't realize she got to MDA early. Sounds like that is a good thing.
