Hi John,
It was a very interesting read, long, but interesting.

but for now, seems like to me high fructose corn syrup seems to be in so many products, besides soda, like fruit juices, nutrition drinks....Why is that?..Or, whats the best way(s) to avoid this stuff?..steve
OK...Milk doesn't list carrageenan but damned if my yogurt and cottage cheese do... Thing is, I've been eating yogurt since an old GF turned me on to it in 1973 so whatever that ingredient does, it did, I guess.....0 -
Thanks
Thanks for the interesting info. I always seem to get sinus infections, colds, post nasal drip or something before my cycle starts every month. The doctor said it wasn't related to my cycle, but apparently I am not the only one with similar issues.
Also, It is interesting that so many children are developing allergies to milk based formula and can't tolerate milk products well. It may be the carrageenan? I thought the article was interesting. I listened to Alicia Silverstone (I think that is her last name) speak on Rachel Ray and she gave up all meats and dairy. She said her acne and face cleared up when she stopped eating dairy. Could be the seaweed preservative?

The FDA approves ingredients, since the data provided to the FDA
might indicate it safe to use in a specific amount. And of course,
the garbage may well be safe in the small amount that would be used
in a specific item......
But damned as it is... the ingredient ends up being added to everything
we humans normally ingest, and therein lies the problem! We get a
near overdose, since the total accumulation of everything we eat
per day with that ingredient, puts it over the safe limit.
In a perfect world, our bodies should eliminate anything that's
harmful to us, and our brain should be telling us that something
makes us sick if we ingest it. Animals can't read, and they don't
come to these forums (well, I know one or two that do), so an
animal is more aware of the mechanism that tells it not to eat
a poisonous berry; it listens to it's instincts.
We humans are too smart for that nonsense, so we choose
to listen to more educated individuals that tell us what to eat,
and what not to worry about eating.
That..... is what makes us special.
And maybe sick.
Think healthy!
