Saundra's feeling better

Sandy's husband Joe here:

She had a good night and some good news this morning, her fourth day at Baylor Medical Center with an 'angry' fast-growing tumor (13 cc's).

Her bowels started working again this morning after 48 hours, 600 cc stool at 6 a.m., then more 2 hours later. Doctor said this a very good, maybe can remove the nose tube on Monday. She was able to shower her self, shampoo, fresh panties and hospital gown. Also she walked some, which helps her bowels function better. We're waiting till Monday for any further medial opinions.

I'm having to use the wireless at McDonalds across the street. The Baylor visitors' wireless doesn't like my old laptop.

We love all you warrior women who lift each other up and share your experiences, love and understanding.

    Boy, do you come to appreciate these when you have OvCa!!! I'm so happy for her that she can get that NG tube out on Monday. I hate that thing with a passion! So wonderful that you can be there for her, Joe, is there a place to stay near by?

    Hotel on hospital campus
    I'm staying at the Baylor Plaza Hotel at the hospital complex. Not fancy, but comfortable.

    Thank you for the post. Saundra has always been one of the first ladies to post to me. She was there for me with my Mom and then for me alone. I so wish things would turn around for her.Thanks to you Joe, I know how hard it is to be a caregiver. My prayers are with you both. Cindy
