Hi,
Thanks to all of you wishing me a good trip. It was wonderful and made me feel much more normal. I walked a little sat and looked at the waves, a lot!! I had the most beautiful experience on Wed morning, I walked and then sat down looking at the beautiful morning sky pink and blue and thought what a time this year has been and it came to me, that this cancer, my sworn enemy, is a gift. What a mind bender!! That even though I was one of those small pleasure people, this disease and all that goes with it gives me even more appreciation for all that everyday brings. So just that moment would have been enough for the 3 days, but I got so much more. Laughs with Ron over a high school kid rolling himself in the sand like a hot dog, a bunch of real studious boys talking over their plans for the night, no girls involved just all you can eat and games. It was great to see happy people and get away from it all. Managed to eat a whole lobster!!!! we went fishing but caught nothing but good conversations with the people on the pier, so it was all good. I only wish all of you can have a great time sometime this summer. I was especially touched by Susie writing to me before Lyle passed and telling how they love the ocean. Hope there is one in the heavens for all of us to enjoy. take care,

Welcome Back
Hi Donna
So happy to hear of your wonderful trip to the beach! And a whole lobster? Great!! Yummy. It is so wonderful to come to the conclusion, that even though this battle with cancer has its many ups and downs, and ins and outs, you beat it, and look at all the wonderful people you met along the way. Look at how much more we all lean on God and give it all up to God. And....he answers in many many ways. Thank you for your experience, and God bless you always. Stay in touch, and do go back to that beach more often!

Just a heartfelt thanks for sharing and I have seen a woolen suit never owned one but my Aunt had one and I marveled then as a child how could someone wear wool at the beach???? thanks for your kind words and I am planning more trips but hoping others here will get to do what they want and go where they want, not held back by all the baggage that comes with this fight. take care, prayers always and send me those pics!!!!
