6 month happy dance

Yay! It has been a little over 6 months since my bilateral(no chemo,rad or reconstruct) and I am finally feeling great. I had that darn sore, sore skin and fluid aspirated again and again - drains back in too- couldn't wear anything but a camisole. ...and I had the cutest little fake boobs all ready (Eva and Zsa Zsa Gabor, and a water set: Esther and Williams, even a smaller set;Bella and Lugosi (don't even ask how they got named lol)
But this week, I have energy, can wear the "girls" or not depending on the outfit, and a happy camper. Ready for my retirement this month and a California trip to see relatives. Hubby and I are taking 2 of the 8 grandkiddoes. Setting up a new consulting business and excited about that.
Good Luck to all of you who are just out of surgery these last weeks: I honestly was worried I would never stop hurting, get rid of the fluid, or get back my energy. Now, this does NOT mean I will skip naps...gotta love those.

I am sitting here this morning with my 5 year old grand girl..she is staying over a few days while her 17 yr old sister is having more jaw surgery..Lexi was born without a jaw or breathing passage. She had a jaw created last year and they are continuing to build on this with the hope of someday being able to create a breathing passage...she breathes thru a trach now. She is such a tough little cookie. You can see her pics on azcentral.com. They have a pic section-she is under the local section now, I believe.
    I am so excited to be able to have more time to help my wonderful daughter in laws when they need anything. so lucky that my boys ended up with such great women.
