Last Chemo was yesterday!

Expect to be in pain this weekend, and then hoping to start feeling better. Still have to finish out the year of Herceptin and do Rads, but the end is in site! Doing a CAT scan in 2 weeks also. Had a couple of small nodules on my lungs in Nov, so hoping they haven't changed and are benign or that they are gone.

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!
So happy for you....I know this has been a long road to travel and it is wonderful that you have completed this phase of the journey. Congratulations and best wishes as you continue toward the finish line!
I am off to surgeon today, and hope to get the last drain tube removed! Then I start 5 mor rounds of chemo next week........I look forward to getting where you are today! Good luck and best wishes...0 -
Party!!!
That's a great feeling to finally take that last chemo infusion, huh? I remember it well. Congratulations and hoping for smooth sailing as you complete your treatments. I know that drinking, in general, is not a good thing for breast cancer. With that said, I really don't see a problem with a celebratory drink. Keep us posted and again, way to go!!0 -

CONGRATS!
I am so very, very happy for you...WONDERFUL feeling isn't it?.When I finished my chemo, I just sat in the car with my husband, looked at him and said....."I can't believe I did what I did!" I was so darn proud of myself! I felt like the worst part of the treatment was over with......We ARE STRONGER than we know.........
Some unsolicited advice.......try to rest between now and the start of your radiation, to build up your strength ......Chemo takes a mighty toll, as you well know......especially on your white blood cells.....radiation it's your red blood cells....chemo is cumulative as is radiation......tiredness and fatigue from chemo is different from the fatigue caused by radiation....I felt pretty strong when I started rads........3 weeks after the last chemo infusion.....keep feeling good until the 4th week of radiation.....then the fatigue set in...it's a "weary" feeling of tiredness......I scheduled my radiation for first thing in the morning......8:00am.....wanted to get it done and over with early in the day......that worked really well for me....I was able to do what I needed to do and wanted to do then I napped in the afternoons when needed......I did great with the radiation, as far as I did not burn...I used the RadiaPlex and then Biofine creams they gave me religiously! I carried it in my purse and after each treatment, before I redressed I applied it and then three more times that day, with the last right before bedtime.....DON"T use any deodorant that they don't give you and NEVER ever put anything on the breast within 4 hours of treatment.......it can interfer with the radiation.....The day of my last treatment, they gave me balloons and a "graduation certificate." I was so happy I could have done cartwheels out of that place! AT 59, that would have surely been a sight!
You're on the road now to "seeing light at the end of the tunnel." The last "leg" of treatment...... Again I am so very happy you're finished with chemo......
I wish you the very best....

Congratulations on finishing chemo! Party time!!!
Canoegirl, I'm so happy for you and this certainly calls for a drink or two. First thing I'm going to do when I'm thru will be to find a margharita, I have 7 more chemos to go, so it will be a while. I'm raising my glass to you today tho and congratulating you on this great accomplishment. Rest up and get ready for the next lap to the finish line. You're almost there.0 -
