My Marrow is a Machine

I have been fighting an infection and have been getting chemo. My white blood cells have been working overtime for the last couple of weeks. Last week was my week off and my infection had cleared up. I'm currently getting abraxane and avastin. My CBC just came in and absolutely everything is in the high normal range. Amazing. My blood pressure is 110/78, pulse 61, temp 98.6. I feel like a million bucks. I've gained 60 lbs since october. I'm getting strong again. I'm still burdened with cancer in several organs but I can't tell. If you ask the Dr he'll say I have 30 days, but he's been saying that since August. This disease is so fickle. How can I feel so good and be considered end stage. Miracles do happen, my Drs say I'm one. They all say I should have hospice on speed dial. Well, me and my marrow aren't throwing in the towel just yet.

glad to hear it!
John,
I love your attitude! It is kind of shocking to hear you say "if you ask my doctor, he'll say I have 30 days, but he's been saying that since August". Wow. With your CBC looking so great and you feeling so great, I'd say you are walking miracle!
I am still curious to get more info on the abraxane you're taking. I looked up the clinical trials on it. Are you getting straight from your oncology center, or are you on a clinical trial? The jury's still out whether the gemzar/xeloda combo is working for me, so I've always got to have something on the back burner.
Take care and glad to hear you're feeling so well!
Lisa

Edit: John, I just saw your reply to me on your other thread about the abraxane and how you're not on a clinical trial. Thanks for the info there!0 -

You are quite the machine! Keep proving them all wrong!0
