Hi,
Ron and I are leaving on my first foray away from home since August!!! It will be just 3 days but I can't wait to get to good old Ocean City MD and look at waves, eat some seafood and watch those crazy senior kids celebrate getting out of high school. Thanks to all of you who responded with encouragement about the lung situation. It is the new normal as my best friend has said and I am happy to be here. I thank God every morning when I wake up for another day. Yesterday I celebrated my grand, Ali's 12th bd and I was thinking that saying, "Another birthday" that the cancer society promotes is not only our birthdays but our loved ones as well. I share my ups and downs and know that this board accepts us all, with our good news and bad, so thanks again for being there for all of us. take care, prayers always,
Donna70

    Donna,

    Donna,

I envy you. I always feel such restorative energy just sitting and looking at the ocean hearing the waves and birds overhead and smelling the salt air --- sounds kinda crazy but I do feel so much better after being able to restfully enjoy the sounds and smells of the ocean. I hope you have a wonderful time and treasure those moments.

It sounds like the lung situation is under control and you are doing everything right to get back to the best shape you can be in. One of my dad's doctors said that keeping up your strength and physical fitness and keeping in shape was one of the most important jobs of the cancer patient and I can see how important that is. In fact it has been a nudge for me to start spending some time on physical fitness and not ignoring the importance of keeping fit.

Sounds like the weather is supposed to be great on the East Coast this week so enjoy the sun and the ocean. Perhaps you can shock some of those seniors with some more green hair :) imagine the conversations . . . did you see that lady with green hair (LOL)

    Best,
    Cindy

    Our favorite place!!
    Donna,

The ocean is our favorite place. Each year we make a short trip with friends or for our anniversary in November to San Diego. I hope you have a wonderful time and soak in the ocean sounds and smells. Pick up a shell...take a picture with it...and make a shadow box of your memory when you get home. Precious times are worth documenting for our family!!

    lucky you!!
    Donna-
lucky you! I love the ocean too. There's just something magical about it. I thought it was because being in the Midwest I just don't see it often enough.

    Enjoy every minute of it!
