I have had a lovely day today

Thought I'd drop by and tell you all about my lovely day. I had money as gifts for my 50th birthday in March and I have been waiting and waiting to get the all clear from my oncologist before I could spend it. My plan was to have a pamper day at a "Day Spa" but I couldn't go whilst I was on chemo. So, I am now 9 weeks post chemo and have just spent a lovely day with my favourite people.
My daughter, son's girlfriend and 3 very close girl friends went with me today and we all relaxed in the outdoor hot tubs, swam in the indoor and outdoor pools, lounged about in the steam rooms, herbal rooms and saunas. There was a luxurious 3 course lunch (I had chocolate tart & banana ice cream - homemade) and in the afternoon I had a full body massage and facial. We finished it off relaxing squashy chairs and 2 of my friends fell asleep - heaven!!!!!!
I felt really pampered and lost myself (& temporarily forgot my troubles) surrounded by my dearest friends & beloved daughter. I felt truely blessed. It was surely a day worth waiting for.

PS My new photo was also taken today & my hair is sure growing back now
