Prayers needed please.

Hi everyone.I take my first mamogram since BC. this Friday.I am so scared,I can hardly stand it.I am trying not to think about the bad that could happen.But my mind keeps racing with these thoughts.Please pray that i get good news.Thank you. Pat.

    Pat,
    Of course, we are all so scared of that first mammo. But, we are scared of every 'first' and we make it thru. My breast feels like I'm smuggling a hockey puck and I thought it would be unbearably painful, besides being terrified of results.

    With knees knocking and feeling like I was going to wet my pants, I made it. And you will, too. I know there is no sense in telling you not to worry, we can't help it, but keep yourself up - eat well, drink enough, take vits...

    And pray for strength and I'll pray with you.

    Prayers for me too..
    I'll be having my first mammo on Friday, too, Pat. I'll hold your hand if you'll hold mine! I am feeling just like you. I've been trying to find someone to go with me but everyone is working or has other committments. I am extremely nervous and scared.

    What time is yours? Mine is at 10:00.

    Prayers Needed
    I do not know what religion you are so please take no offense at my saying this simple prayer for you. May the Holy Spirit surround you and protect you from all illness/disease on Friday. Feel his warm bright light around you as you enter the mammogram room.If you concentrate you can feel the warmth of it. This prayer is also for all you other ladies getting ready for Mammograms. I am a newbie yet. But can only imagine when I get through my surgery etc.. how the 1st will feel. Scared beyond belief probably covers it for me..

    Pat, sending you strength and good wishes for a non-eventful mammo. Patti, sending strength your way as well.

    I have my first towards the end of this month (23rd) and I have found myself re-living the last year. As a matter of fact, I was looking at a picture taken of me last year on my birthday (6/28) and the difference in just my hair between now and then. Not to mention the difference inside me after the battle of the bc.

    I'm thankful to be a part of this network of supportive, caring and loving women. It really has made my journey easier. Thank you all!!

    Now, Pat and Patti, you get ready to put on those dancing shoes. I hope to be cutting in around the 23rd. Good luck, ladies!!

    Hi Pattimc.My mamo is 10.30.Friday.We will hold each others hand yes.Like you I am as scared as you could be.My doctor told me to take a valium before comming.I don,t like taking them but I probly will have to that day.I just Prayed for us to have a good mamo.I will let you know when I hear the results.They probly won,t tell me that day.God bless you. Pat.

    I'm glad you told me what time you are having your mammo. I should be finishing up by then...but then again last year, I thought it would be done in 1/2 an hour,too. Turned out because they saw "something" I went right in and had an ultrasound done. 20 minutes after that, the radiologist was in with me telling it was highly suspicous and needed to go to my GYN right away. Two days later I had my lumpectomy and my life turned upside down.
    Think I'll take alittle something before I go. Maybe a 1/2 of a Percocet or Vicodin to take the edge off.

    I'll let everyone know how it goes.
