Glad that you are healing from rads Laurissa. I always hated it when someone said that rads is a breeze, because they aren't for most. Take care of yourself and enjoy your life!0 -
Laurissa, glad to hear you
Laurissa, glad to hear you are done and now on to living. I just responded to your call for prayers for your sister and asked how you were. I'm very happy to read that you are about to be dancing with NED. You have fought a great fight and now about to reap the rewards. Take care and keep in touch.0 -
Newbie.
Haven't had surgey yet. Long story!!Diagnosed 4/26/10. Wanted to say thank you for the hope and encouragement.. I need it right now..Limbo is horrible...Thought I'd be through surgery and healing for the next treatment. Seems like a eternity!!!!I am so appreciative of all the warriors like you showing us the way and that we can do this. Thank you for lighting the path for me..

I, too, was knocked out by rads. And burned? Owweee! Time has taken care of the burns (I finished 3/5) but I started back to work on 3/8, so overcoming the fatigue took a while longer. Take it easy.
Gentle hugs,
Sue
Laurissa! Good to see you posting! Congrats on finishing rads! Keep your creams on for a few weeks still! Praying your skin clears up quickly for you! And, still try to get lots of rest.

Laurissa, what good news to hear. You kept on putting one foot in front of the other and now here you are at the finish line. I've watched your journey and you handled it like a brave trouper. When you get over the fatigue, hope you can celebrate and do something fun. Thanks again for sharing your good news.0 -

Have just discovered this site. Thought you may like to hear from someone who had their cancer op 20yrs ago come Nov this year. I had a lumpectomy op and chemo for 6 months then radiotheraphy for 6 weeks. My radiotheraphy was tiring but at least no burns I got off light. Chemo was not so good, but just caught a lot of colds with low immunity and feeling sick. Hair got thinner but didn't lose it (very lucky). Just try to look on bright side. The best thing is to be positive. I really believe that helps recovery a lot, a positive attitude! Hope this helps you.

Happy Dance Time
It is always good to hear someone has finished the ordeal of daily rad. It's time to dance, sing, and be merry. Keep smiling and laughing. Kathryn0
