Folfori with Avastin vs Folfox with Avastin

I know everyone is different but I just wanted to get an idea what to prepare for. I start my round of chemo next Tuesday with Folfori and Avastin. I completed Folfox with Avastin - 8 rounds in September 2009. i did okay but that OXY is the devil's drug. I have read that if I made it through Folfox, Folfori will be a 'walk in the park'. My hair thinned on Folfox and the nurse said that is all it will probably do this round too. However, it has grown back nice and thicker...only to thin again!

Any ideas or suggestions and experiences would be great!

    I have had 15 treatments of folfiri + avastin. For me the greatest side effects have been fatigue, diarrhea + hair loss. I was one of those people who lost most of their hair on this treatment. It is now growing back (it started to grow back after treatment 9 or 10) + now I have a very short 'do. The best thing is it has been very effective for me. I have not been operable, but after 4 treatments my 2 colorectal tumours were not able to be detected, + now with my last scan after 14 treatments only 1 of my 4 liver mets was visible + it was ~ 1/2 its original size. For the most part I have found this treatment tolerable, especially because of the success I have had. Good luck! Let me know if you have any other questions.
