After a million appointments and much preparation Glenn is getting ready to begin treatment.

They've decided on IMRT/Tomo bilateral neck and Carbo/Taxol x3. He was TxN2bMo. He's been to the dentist and had all teeth removed, PEG inserted last Wednesday. He'll start on Monday, 6/7.

He's looking forward to Radiation treatment being the only appointment he has in one day for awhile.

Had a minor insurance coverage scare Friday when they told our Rad/Onc people they were only going to cover the treatments at an Out-of-Network coverage rate. Wha??? But many calls later they told us it would be covered In-Network. The folks at the hospital told us the cost was going to be approx. 100K. so after I picked myself up off the floor and spent some time on the phone, we got it straightened out.

thanks for keeping Glenn in your prayers.

    Hi Mill

Hope all goes well for Glenn on the treatments, hang in there and it will soon all be over before you know it. On the finial cost of my Radiation it was a little over $208,000 and the Chemo was another $31,000. glad most of it was covered on the insurance.

All the best to you both.

Thanks for the good wishes. I can't tell you how much it's helped to be here reading about other's experiences with cancer treatment.

There's no substitute for that and it's not a perspective the treatment team can even begin to give you.

mick, that's for sure and that is why we're here, to help each other from our true EXPERIENCE. Until one lives it, they don't know the total hell. I will continue to pray for you as I do for everyone here. Hang it and know that we will always be here when you need someone.
    God bless,
